Chapter 24: Show of hard work

Izuku who is currently running towards the final obstacle in the race with other 1st years following him. He then stops for a moment then he sees from a far both Bakugo and Todoroki neck on neck with each other. Then we see Izuku looking at the area, then mic began to announce the final obstacle course

"Alright! This is the final obstacle course for today's first event land mines!" he said making the audience fell scared and concern about the students "Don't worry folks the land mines are just harmless enough to just knock the contestants back without any injuries" he said which made the audiences sigh in relief. And Aizawa looking at him with a blank look "What?" he asked Aizawa.

Then back to Izuku who is now thinking on what to do then he began to dash towards the landmine and not triggering any of them. As for the others some tread carefully without triggering the mines but some stepped on them and sent flying back while screaming. Izuku in his rhythm not stepping on the landmines thanks to his sense training back in Tsushima. He then began to reach towards both Bakugo and Todoroki. Both of them saw Izuku and tried to slow him down but Izuku with his fast reaction he then throws something right towards the two making them loss their balance and fall right to the landmines immediately.

I the announcers booth Mic began to commentate "Woah what happened there let's see the replay" he announced then played the replay and zoomed in closely they see both Bakugo and Todoroki tried to stop Izuku using their quirks but due to his fast reaction speed he then grab something from his pocket an throw it in front of them and began to lose their balance and landed on the landmines and exploded them "Whoa! What did hey threw anyway?" he asked then Aizawa began to answer "Those were pieces of metal from the robots he collected some of them and used it in his advantage. When they tried to stop him he stopped them midway by throwing the pieces of metal at them and they started to lose both focus and balance they stagger and fell to the land to those mines. " he answered making Mic impressed about Izuku's skills and instincts.

For the audience themselves seeing that replay they were dumbfounded with how a quirkless student can do that but in reality you can do it if you work hard. Many began to doubt about themselves why they look down onto him. But then Izuku stepped on a landmind making everyone think that it's over but to their surprise he used a technique using the dance of wrath he move to 3 areas of the mine field making everyone shocked and surprised even look dumbfounded about Izuku's skill.

Then Mic was also shock about Izuku's technique "WHAT THE!? what did Izuku do is that his quirk!?" he asked then Aizawa began to answer "That Mic is one of Izuku's techniques I saw them myself while he was training during one of his hero training classes I was surprised as you when I saw that technique in action I asked him the name of the technique and he told me" he said making Mic asking "then what's the name of the technique?" he asked "The dance of wrath" he answered with a low tone Mic then had a small chill down his spine.

With Izuku he thankfully escaped that landmine he stepped on. And continued on and he is almost finished the obstacle course but then he heard something.

"DEKU I SWEAR THAT I'M GOING TO BEAT YOU DOWN TO THE GROUND!!!!!" Bakugo screaming from the top of his lungs

then Shoto Todoroki also following using his ice to glide through but Izuku on the other hand focuses on finishing the race but he then threw the shards of metal he collect back in robo inferno to act as kunais. And began to throw the right below Bakugo and Todoroki exploding the landmines below them which sent them back once more again with Bakugo getting real pissed about it and went all out. As Izuku got out of the obstacle course Bakugo still tries to chase him but Izuku once more threw a kunai once again right to Bakugo losing balance and crashed landed right to a land mine once more and send him backwards screaming once again.

Then As Izuku reached 1st place Mic announced the winner of the 1st event of the sports festival and Aizawa nodding at the stadium everyone cheering for Izuku who had reached 1st place. And then the rest followed with the top 40 candidates who can proceed with the next event of the sports festival.

With the top 40 candidates all of class 1-A, 1-B and some general study students of the 1st years are in front of the screen for the next event. Then Midnight cracks her whip for the student's attention.

"Alright now that you are the top 40 Candidates of the UA Sports festival now let's begin the 2nd event" then the screen shows the next event the Cavalry battle "The rules are simple each student must be with teams of 4 and each team has a headband with points. The points you earned are from the positions during the race" she said making others thinking about the rules of the game then Midnight continue "Each team can steal points from the other team to earn their spot from the top. And for the team who lost their headbands they can still participate and steal another one's points from another team and you only have 30 minutes to steal as many points and get to the top." she explained" So meaning if one person lost his points they can still win and get to the top" Uraraka explained to herself "Uh huh your right" Mina said and Midnight crackers her whip and screams at the 2 girls "WILL YOU SHUT UP AND LET ME EXPLAIN THE RULES HERE!!!!" Shouting in anger.

shook the student a bit except for Izuku who is unfazed and his arms crossed then Midnight shows the points and many of the students were looking at each points on how much they are worth until the one who took the no. 1 spot is the biggest target worth 10 million points. And everyone looks at Izuku and we're looking at him with the eyes of a predator looking at its prey.
