The blue light ring

Shaun fell into thoughtful silence, a hint of contemplation in his eyes.

He began to weigh the truthfulness of the other person's words. If it was a lie, then why had the dozens of massive mutant beasts disappeared? Even the mechanical creatures had become exceedingly scarce, difficult to come by. There must have been a mutation within the ruins.

If it was true, what mechanism caused the appearance of the blue light ring? If it was entirely random, why hadn't he encountered it along with the mutant orange cat? Unless it was a targeted occurrence!

Is someone manipulating within the ruins? Or has some mechanism been triggered!

Shaun furrowed his brow, considering various possibilities. Suddenly, a flash of insight crossed his mind—the blue light ring on the ground!

"How does that light ring compare to the teleportation light rings between each level of the ruins?"
