He released these people and let them follow him for a simple reason. They needed people to run a ship. With him, Tesoro, and Stella it would be difficult. So he preferred to give them the job to others.
When they left the castle and reached one of the busiest parts of the city, all the citizens were looking at them with confused faces. They had noticed a big explosion coming from the castle and now the castle was on fire.
*One should not underestimate the objects of the system* thought Yamamoto as he stopped and turned to look at the burning castle.
He noticed a group of people talking and pointing their fingers at the burning castle with concern in their tones. He walked over to them and said as he tossed Pluming's corpse at their feet, "Take it, here's a Celestial Dragon" After that he turned and left.
The people looked at Yamamoto in bewilderment at the sudden and fleeting intrusion. Then they looked down and noticed the corpse. Their expressions turned to fear, surprise, and disbelief. They all knew immediately that it was a Celestial Dragon by its characteristic attire. Moreover, they had recently seen it in the port.
A woman shrieked and the crowd began to disperse away from the corpse.
Many saw Yamamoto's face and recognized him, so they ran away faster than the others.
Tesoro while following Yamamoto looked at him without understanding why he was acting this way, Stella looked at him with fear, thinking that all the rumors about him were true. Even though he had killed the person who bought her as a slave and saved her she still didn't trust him.
The slaves he freed had noticed that the corpse Yamamoto was carrying was their former master. So the admiration and respect they had for Yamamoto increased.
Yamamoto brought Pluming's corpse to leave it here in the center of the city for all to see. This way it would be difficult or almost impossible to cover up his death for the World Government. He knows that these people like to cover up facts, so he would try to prevent them.
The city of the Kingdom of Ilisia was in chaos. On one side, the castle was burning in flames that were impossible to put out, hundreds of soldiers tried to extinguish these flames, but every effort was futile. The fire continued to spread, reaching the entire castle.
All the nobles had to flee if they didn't want to be burned alive or crushed by the debris. As for the center of the capital, it was in chaos as well, and the culprit was Pluming's corpse left lying by Yamamoto.
No one wanted to be associated with the death of a Celestial Dragon, and many were packing their bags to leave the Kingdom, as the death of a Celestial Dragon could bring severe consequences to the kingdom and its people.
Finally, Yamamoto and the others arrived at the main port. On the way, they didn't encounter any marines, which pleasantly surprised Yamamoto, as he noticed there was a Marine ship in the port.
He assumed it belonged to the rear admiral he had killed, but where were all the marines? He had only killed one.
*Don't tell me they all went after Olvia and the others... Thanks to Ivankov, they were able to escape* Yamamoto thought as he sighed with relief.
Without him, Olvia and the others were very weak, and if a large number of marines were pursuing them, it would be very difficult for them to escape. Luckily, they had encountered Ivankov; otherwise, he would have to go rescue them.
There were several ships in the port, in addition to the Marine ship. The one that caught Yamamoto's attention the most was a large, luxurious-looking ship. The wood had an almost golden color. As for its size, it was almost on par with the ship he had obtained from the Buster Call.
"Sir, that's the ship that belonged to the Celestial Dragon, Pluming" said one of the former slaves, as he noticed Yamamoto observing this ship.
*As I guessed* thought Yamamoto as he nodded to the man, "What is your name?" asked Yamamoto to the former slave.
This man seemed to be the leader of the ex-slaves. It would be inconvenient not to know his name when he would now be under their protection.
"My name is Ramses, sir" he replied in a very respectful tone.
Ramses was Pluming's former pet and his task was to act as a horse, so unlike the others his build was very large. His head was shaven and he had a somewhat haggard face. This was a consequence of living as a slave and under Pluming's orders.
On being freed and seeing Pluming dead a great happiness radiated throughout his being. Then being a former slave with the mark of slavery, happiness was replaced by despair. And just came Yamamoto and let him follow him and his slave friends that he spent many years with them.
For this reason, he had great respect and admiration for Yamamoto.
"Well, Ramses we will use that ship. Do you know how to handle it?" he asked looking at the others.
"Y-yes leave it to us. We will do our best!" replied Ramses with reverence, the others also nodded devotion.
Yamamoto nodded in satisfaction and thought nothing of these people treating him in such a manner. Then they boarded the ship which was much larger and more spacious than seen from the outside.
Yamamoto already on the ship stopped and looked towards one of the corners of the luxurious ship, there he saw a man standing there looking in his direction. His face was completely hidden under his green robe that covered his whole body.
Noticing that Yamamoto was staring at one point for a while, they all followed his gaze and were surprised to see someone standing there motionless, looking at them.
"Who's that!?" exclaimed one of the former slaves in fright.
Tesoro put Stella behind him, and wouldn't take his eyes off the mysterious man. The others stood close behind Yamamoto. This was all because the green-robed man gave off a suffocating aura.
*Can it be...?* Yamamoto thought as a person popped into his mind.
"You're from the group that helped my fellow archaeologists?" asked Yamamoto in a calm tone.
The person was a little surprised by Yamamoto's calmness, after a few seconds of suspense he replied, "Yes... you could say you are my companions" his tone of voice was hoarse.
*That's good. It must be Dragon, or so I think* Yamamoto thought with surprise, he didn't expect to meet the world's worst criminal on this trip and Luffy's father, though at this moment neither happened yet.
"Even if I wanted to chat quietly, it's not a good time. The Marine created a network and any moment now a lot of ships will start arriving" said Yamamoto.
"Yes I know, it's better to set sail as soon as possible" replied the man in a serious tone.
"They heard. Get this ship out of this port as soon as possible" Yamamoto said looking at Ramses and the others.
"Yes, sir!" they exclaimed in unison and got to work.
Tesoro and Stella also lent a hand.
"You have good subordinates" the man complimented the devotion of the former slaves.
"Well, they were slaves under a Celestial Dragon's rule. After being liberated, it's normal for them to have so much energy" Yamamoto said.
"Did you kill the Celestial Dragon?" the man asked in a surprised tone.
"Before I answer that, shouldn't you introduce yourself?" Yamamoto replied, returning the question.
After a few seconds of contemplation, the man responded:
"My name is Monkey D. Dragon"
