"Get out of here!" Alexander said in a calm voice, and the secretary didn't need to be told twice to leave the room.

"Evangeline, Evangeline, Evangeline, how dare you go when I clearly said no?" Alexander groaned, leaning back on the couch in his office room as he took a sip of his wine.

The way her eyes sparkled when she looked at him right after she got out of the club, it was almost as if she knew he wouldn't let her go.

She was playing with his mind, or that's what he had thought. But who knew that she had indeed called James or that he would come so soon?

It has been an hour since that incident, and he still hasn't been able to take his mind off it
