William wiped the crocodile tears from the corners of his eyes after he explained their reason for asking for help. "Please help us. The people there might not be able to hold on much longer."

William kept his head hung low to hide his apathetic expression. Initially, he wanted to abandon George and escape on his own since his plan of cutting the roots or eliminating Evander's family had succeeded, but along the way, they met with a mishap, so William decided to rethink his plan.

William was a supernaturalist himself, but he didn't tell anyone about it because he wasn't very sure of the extent of his ability. He only knew it had some effect on zombies—the level-0 ones and mask his scent. He was also able to control them, but just for a few seconds, and his brain would throb in pain afterwards, so after using it in the midst, William was in no state to fulfill his plan, and this was where George came into the picture.
