Leone Albanecci (2)

Leone divided his attention between the woman and the scenery outside. It won't be long before his pursuers show up. He needed to get out of this place and contact his men. The phone was taken away along with his fake IDs.

Leone was only left with a wallet and a gun without bullets. His turf was located outside the country. Due to an oncoming big order, he dispatched his trusted men to check the goods being smuggled.

Leone was caught up in the midst, after a traitor divulged his identity and location. Both parties exchanged fires, Leone and his men were forced to separate after exhausting their ammunition.

He was injured in the process. The black leather jacket had a wet patch. A faint smell of iron circulated in the car. Leone clutched his stomach with his free hand, stopping the wound from bleeding. His stern masculine face with sharp features remained alert and never shown any weakness.

The man of few words, Leone, had always been like this. Even he was surrounded by a dozen of undead while unarmed or his ability exhausted, he never flinched nor backed down. He will calmly maneuver his way to solve every problem. He was Annette's backbone—the main force.

If you ask Arianne who she hates the most besides Annette, the answer would be him. Laurence may have treated her like an air, and Ryett may have ruined her hard-earned supplies, but Leone did more than that. He never expressed his dislike, and treated her nonexistent and when his mood flared, Arianne would be placed in a near death situation every time, with her life hanging by a thread.

[This guy is the worst. He's a lunatic.] The system commented after accepting her memories.

With her improved physique, she could beat him without any scruples, but his fortune was four stars, Arianne couldn't do anything to him at the moment.

The car sped off, exiting the gates of the wholesale supermarket. Arianne scanned the streets in both sides for any clinic or pharmacy. However, she was not doing this entirely for the ruthless man, medicine was also included in her checklist. Medicine was another precious currency in the doomsday. It's even pricier than food. A single cheap aspirin could be sold for several kilograms of rice.

When Leone was sure that no one suspicious was following the car, he instantly observed the red haired woman driving. He thought he would have a hard time threatening her, but she didn't cry or plead and just followed his words. Leone was skeptical. No woman would remain calm with a hot weapon aiming at her head unless she's also like him.

"Give me your ID." Leone pressed the muzzle with a little force. The tip drilled on her skin, leaving a red mark. Leone saw the results of his actions and stopped.

Arianne sneered and threw the purse at him.

Leone caught the small bag and rummaged the contents. After a while, a small plastic card appeared between his fingers, displaying her basic information.

Her surname brought him a massive surprise, which he concealed perfectly. He wanted to silence her afterward, but the people behind her were troublesome. "Buy me medicine to disinfect the wound and sterile gauze."

Leone spotted a pharmacy near the gas station.

"Give me the keys." Leone said.

She reached out her hand fearlessly, "I need money."

Leone was startled, but still returned her purse.

She got off the car and bought what the man requested with a little extra.

[That will cause him diarrhea.]

"No one can leave unscathed after threatening me. If not for the World Consciousness' restrictions, I would have thrown him somewhere along the ditch." Arianne replied in her mind.

"Here you go and there's a painkiller for you." Arianne tossed the plastic bag to his stomach, causing him to jolt.

The man looked at her, trying to sense her intentions.

Arianne stayed quiet, but inside she was boiling with rage. The fingers on her lap were trembling.

The wound ached and Leone opened his jacket and shirt. Without the cover of his clothes, his six-pack abs and mermaid line were in HD. Scars from his business ventures scattered across his chest, and a small hole dripping with blood, obviously the gun wound, was a glaring contrast on his toned skin.

He drilled his fingers inside the hole and pulled out the bullet shell. His face remained so indifferent throughout.

Arianne averted her eyes.

He wiped the blood, cleaned the wound and wrapped the gauze around his waist. The whole operation only took a minute.

"Get out." Leone blurted and aimed the gun at the back of her head.

"It's my car." Arianne became impatient. Her mouth pressed into a thin line. This guy always gets on her nerves.

"Get out." Leone pulled out the safety pin. He wanted to scare her into submission.

"You ask for it." Arianne opened the door of the driver seat. Leone also opened the backseat planning to switch their places, but once he stepped out of the car, the woman kicked his crotch without mercy. She then took out the painkiller from the bag and forced it into his mouth.

Due to her stepping on his wound and inhuman strength, his resistance was futile and medicine was ingested.

The woman snatched the keys from him and jumped into the Audi, leaving him on the roadside.

His stomach began to churn as if there were a gang fighting inside. He realized that it was no painkiller but a diarrhea inducing medicine.

Arianne drove her Audi to the destination of their sibling's villa. It was already noon, and those servants will check on her. If they find out she left without permission, trouble will come.

Arianne was uneasy. It will take another hour to reach her house.

A few miles from her, Ryett who was pissed off, visited the firing range. He pulled the trigger of the gun and continuously hit the targets right on the mark.

His friends sensed his mood was foul. They quieted down until the blonde ran out of bullets.

"What's gotten you so riled up?"

Ryett took off the googles and hearing protection and asked the staff for additional magazines. He hadn't vented enough. After the refill, he fired another round, and the bullets never missed the targets. His friends could only give him some space.

He continued his routine for five rounds before slumping on the ground. Firing with incredible focus sapped his mental energy. He had never lost control before. The chilling eyes of Arianne once again emerged in his mind. "How do you coax a girl?"

His question made his friends' jaws dropped. Is the sun shining from the west?

Next would be Laurence! Stay updated.
