The echoing drills had continued for longer than I had expected. Enough that when they stopped, when that boredom of mine had long consumed my brain.

I echoed a single word within my mind.

"Finally"

Or maybe it was in the air too. But it didn't matter, as I dragged my gaze over to Lily. She seemed to be having the same problem. 

Eyes rolled over in pure boredom as she occasionally sent harsh glares towards the workers.

Their backs reeked of sweat and other bodily fluids that I couldn't help but cringe in disgust at. But that was their problem.

So when the final drill had stopped, when they reached over their foreheads and wiped the sweat from it. A gaze in askance of what would be done to them.

They had taken so much longer. So... so... so much longer. I really wanted to just kill them out of annoyance but that was a wrong part of me speaking.
