Chapter 189: Shocking! Hela Publicly Executes Thor

The scene begins with Scott Lang entering a room, where a little girl immediately rushes into his arms in excitement.

"Sorry I'm late, sweetheart. I didn't know what time the gathering started," Scott Lang said to his daughter, Cassie Lang.

"It's written on the invitation," Cassie Lang replied.

"He didn't receive an invitation," Officer Paxton walked over, "But he still decided to show up uninvited."

"I wouldn't miss my precious daughter's birthday party," Scott Lang said.

"I'm going to tell Mom," Cassie Lang turned and ran into the room.

"What are you doing here, Lang?" Paxton asked directly as soon as Cassie left, "You haven't paid a single cent of child support. If I wanted to, I could arrest you right now."

"Good to see you too, Paxton," Scott Lang replied.

"Mom found out you're here and almost choked on her drink out of joy," Cassie Lang returned excitedly.

"Look what I brought for you," Scott Lang handed a gift bag to Cassie Lang. She opened it and saw an extremely ugly rabbit plush toy.

"It's so ugly," Cassie Lang laughed while holding the rabbit, "I love it! Can I show it to my friends?"

"Of course, honey. Go ahead," Paxton said.

"Listen, I will pay child support, but it's hard to find a job with a criminal record," Scott Lang explained to Paxton.

"I believe you can figure it out, but for now, please leave my house," Paxton didn't give Scott Lang any face.

"No, wait, it's my daughter's birthday," Scott Lang was unwilling to leave.

"No, it's my room," Paxton insisted.

"So what? She's still my child!" Scott Lang's voice grew louder.

"Relax!" Scott Lang's ex-wife, Maggie, walked over, speaking to Scott Lang, "You can't just show up whenever you want. Do you understand? Don't make a scene."

Maggie also didn't give Scott Lang any face, promptly kicking him out of the room.

"Really? Maggie? You had to marry that guy?" Standing outside the door, Scott Lang said angrily, "You could've married anyone, but you had to get engaged to a cop?"

"At least he's not a thief," Maggie said.

Short as it was, her words made perfect sense.

"I've been trying, okay? I've turned over a new leaf. I've had jobs and...," Scott Lang paused and continued, "I want to support her. I've thought about it for a long time. I love her, really love her. I've missed out on so much, and now I want to be a part of her life. How should I go about it?"

"Find an apartment, find a job. Pay child support, then we can discuss visitation rights. I promise," Maggie said, "You're Cassie's hero, Scott. Be the hero she looks up to."

The scene changes again, and under the cover of night, Scott Lang stands on a utility pole, tinkering with tools.

"The communication lines have been cut, and cellphone signals have been jammed," Kurt quickly finished the job, "No one can make an emergency call tonight."

Meanwhile, in a vehicle, Scott Lang and Luis and the others have been waiting.

"Just in case something goes wrong, I've got your back. Got it?" Luis said to Scott Lang.

"Don't worry, that kind of thing won't happen." Scott Lang got out of the car with a bag in hand. He was as agile as a cat, easily leaping over the villa wall and into the yard.

Then he climbed up along the window and water pipe, used a small device to disable the alarm system, opened the window with a small knife, and slipped into the room.

On a table, Scott Lang saw a keychain with a tank pendant hanging from it. He took it and used it to open a door.

But behind that door, there was another door, with a fingerprint lock on it.

Luis was surprised by the presence of a fingerprint lock and wanted to retreat, but Scott Lang had a way.

He slipped into another room, rummaged through a drawer, and found a roll of tape, a small bottle of glue, and a small metal ring. Using these simple tools, he extracted a fingerprint from a doorknob and created a rough fingerprint mold.

Holding the fingerprint mold in front of the fingerprint lock, he pressed the mold onto the scanning area. With a drip sound, the door opened.

"I'm in," Scott Lang reported to Luis, who was providing backup in the car.

"No alarm triggered, he's really good," Kurt praised sincerely.

Scott Lang opened the fingerprint lock door with hope, but inside, he saw another door, and it was a rather complex one. It looked very challenging.

"Are you kidding me?" Scott Lang muttered.

"What's wrong?" Luis asked.

"They weren't joking; this safe is quite the challenge," Scott Lang said.

"How challenging, Scott?" Luis asked.

"It's a Carnot 1910 model, made with the same steel as the Titanic," Scott Lang walked up to the safe.

"Can you handle it?" Luis asked.

"Here's the deal: It doesn't work well in cold conditions. Remember that iceberg?" Scott Lang asked.

"Of course," Luis said.

"It killed everyone," Dave added.

"It didn't kill that old lady," Kurt corrected, "She later threw the Heart of the Ocean into the sea."

Initially, when Luis recruited Scott Lang, he was resistant, but now, during the heist, Scott was a master among masters. This seemingly formidable safe couldn't hinder his progress.

He first drilled a hole in the safe, poured in some water, and froze it with liquid ammonia.

The water inside the safe froze and expanded, but the metal safe didn't expand. Then, the door was forcefully cracked by the expanding ice.

"Beautiful," Scott Lang walked in confidently.

"What's inside?" Luis asked eagerly, "Cash or jewels?"

At this moment, Scott Lang was left dumbfounded. There was nothing valuable inside, let alone cash or jewels. The place was almost empty.

There was only a peculiar-looking set of clothes placed on an iron table.

"There's nothing here, just a set of clothes, an old motorcycle suit," Scott Lang was utterly disappointed.

"No cash, no jewels, nothing?" Luis couldn't believe it.

"All this effort for nothing!" Scott Lang was extremely frustrated. After all that hard work, he had gained nothing. After a moment of thought, he decided to take the Ant-Man suit with him.

Back in the bathroom, Scott Lang put on the Ant-Man suit. He stood in front of the mirror and inspected himself. To get a better view, he stepped into the bathtub.

"Scott, are you okay?" At this moment, Luis' voice came from outside.

To avoid being seen wearing the peculiar suit, Scott Lang quickly pulled a curtain in front of the bathtub.

"Strange? What is this?" Standing in the bathtub, Scott Lang noticed two buttons on the palm of the Ant-Man suit. Out of curiosity, he pressed one of the buttons.

As he pressed the button, he suddenly shrank down and fell into the bathtub.

Standing in the bathtub, he felt bewildered. Everything around him seemed enormous. The small bathtub had turned into an incredibly vast plaza.

"Seeing the world from this perspective must be quite different, right?" Suddenly, a voice echoed, "Isn't it, Scott?"

"What? Who?" Scott Lang asked, "Who's speaking?"

Clatter, clatter, clatter!

At that moment, footsteps approached. Scott Lang turned his head and saw a towering "giant" coming towards him, pulling back the curtain in front of the bathtub.

"Luis, Luis! I'm down here!" Scott Lang immediately shouted at the "giant."

It turned out that it wasn't really a "giant" at all; it was his friend Luis. However, due to his tiny size, normal-sized Luis appeared as a giant to him.

Scott Lang yelled with all his might, but how could Luis hear him?

Luis simply turned on the bathtub faucet and started filling it with water.

"Scott, true gold fears no fire, but this time it's water." Hank Pym chimed in with an amused tone.

Boom!

In the next moment, an enormous torrent of water came crashing down, filling the bathtub like a flood. The terrifying deluge swept over.

Scott Lang turned and tried to run, but his tiny legs couldn't outrun the speed of the water. In an instant, he was swept away by the current.

However, this turned out to be not so bad after all. As the water level in the bathtub rose, the surging water pushed Scott Lang out of the bathtub and onto the floor.

He had finally escaped from the bathtub!

But as soon as he stood up, Luis tossed his belt down. This "monstrous" object sent Scott Lang plummeting into the gaps between the floor tiles, down into the underground.

His body collided with the pipes below, breaking through a wall after hitting it twice, and finally landed on the level below.

Surprisingly, this level turned out to be a bar, where loud music was playing. Scott Lang landed on a spinning disc.

The disc spun, and he didn't stay on it for long before being flung off, crashing onto the ground.

This was getting worse. The bar was packed with people, all dancing and twisting their bodies. Giant feet stomped down relentlessly, and Scott Lang had to be extremely careful to avoid being stepped on.

He didn't stay in the bar for long either. While dodging the massive feet, he accidentally fell into a sewer, leading him to another level below.

This time, he landed on a carpet. Before he could react, a vacuum cleaner came roaring over.

As a result, Scott Lang was sucked into the vacuum cleaner along with the dust, floating and spinning within its interior.

He had been many places in his life, but being inside a vacuum cleaner was a first.

When he finally managed to jump out of the vacuum cleaner, catching his breath on the side, a black rat appeared.

Now that Scott Lang was so tiny, the rat looked like a monstrous beast to him. Terrified, he turned and ran.

The rat seemed to be chasing after him, maybe even wanting to eat him. In a panic, Scott Lang jumped onto a mousetrap, which promptly launched him out, shattering a window. He fell down, crashing onto the roof of a small car.

"Not bad for a first test, Scott. Keep the suit, I'll be in touch again," Hank Pym's voice echoed.

The space darkened, and the video ended there.

"This heist clearly had some issues," Steve Rogers spoke up, "Hank Pym definitely set it up. He intentionally had Scott steal the suit."

"That sly old fox, what's he really up to?" Nick Fury mumbled.

"Scott ultimately became Ant-Man. Regardless of what Hank Pym had in mind, he has created a superhero for us, which is a good thing," Stephen Strange said.

"Hank Pym is also a veteran of S.H.I.E.L.D. and a former Ant-Man who has saved the world as a superhero," Bruce Banner added, "So, even though he 'planned' this on Scott Lang, I don't think we need to worry too much. He probably doesn't have evil intentions."

"Have you all forgotten about Hank Pym's massacre of superheroes in another parallel universe?" Thor chimed in, "I think this Hank Pym might be hiding some sinister intentions too."

"True," Loki, who was beside Thor, spoke up, "Although I have no idea about this other parallel universe you're talking about, I believe that everyone in the world is evil and has a dark side. So, when you suspect someone might be a bad guy, don't hesitate. Trust yourself, he is. Therefore, let's capture Hank Pym and interrogate him!"

"If you keep blabbering, I'll be the one to interrogate you first," Tony Stark didn't have a good impression of Loki, and his threat carried a sense of menace.

"I see we've found something in common, Tin Man. I don't like you much either," Loki smirked, revealing his mischievous grin, "Since everyone seems to be free, why don't we warm up by putting on a show?"

"A show? You just reminded me. What could be more exciting than the video we recorded earlier?" Tony Stark tapped his wristwatch a couple of times, and a video started playing. In the video, Loki was lying on the ground, furiously saying, "I'll tell you, I am a god! I won't be squashed by you ants..."

Before he could finish speaking, the Hulk grabbed Loki's legs and vigorously slammed him against the ground.

"Turn it off!" Loki's face turned green instantly, "Turn it off now!"

"Absolutely brilliant. No matter how many times I watch it, it's as fresh as the first time," Tony Stark exclaimed in admiration, "Sorry, Loki, but I have to say your positions during that beating were spot on. Are you used to being thrown around like that?"

"Tin Man, you really know how to infuriate me..."

"If you don't apologize within a minute, I'll send this video to the TV station and upload it online immediately," Tony Stark interrupted Loki.

"One minute? Are you kidding me?" Loki immediately responded, "Why would it take so long? I apologize right away. Mr. Stark, I sincerely apologize to you here. Please forgive my irrationality and ignorance."

"Okay, for Thor's sake, I accept your apology," Tony Stark tapped his wristwatch twice, and the video disappeared.

[The second question begins: How did Thor leave Sakar?]

[A: The Guardians of the Galaxy passed through Sakar and rescued Thor from there.]

[B: A revolt broke out on Sakar, and Thor seized the opportunity to steal the Grandmaster's spaceship and leave.]

[C: Hela, the Goddess of Death, took Thor away from Sakar to publicly execute him in Asgard.]

[D: Thor made a deal with the Grandmaster and was sent away by him.]

[Answer this question correctly to receive the 'Hela's Sleeping Curse.' It can make Hela sleep for a thousand years. Answer incorrectly, and you'll lose a year of your lifespan.]

"Finally, this question is here." Thor perked up when he saw the question, "I've always wanted to know how I left Sakar."

"Yeah, I'm sure you really wanted to leave Sakar, considering it must hold some unforgettable memories for you!" Tony Stark said with a grin.

"It's not just Thor's most unforgettable memory; it's one of the most unforgettable memories for all of us," Stephen Strange chimed in with a smile.

"Endless reminiscing," Steve Rogers said. He was also smiling.

"... " Thor's face darkened.

"What interesting things happened on Sakar? Is no one willing to share with me?" Loki, seeing Thor's expression, suddenly became interested. "I am very curious about Thor."

"Nothing happened at all!" Thor said somewhat frustratedly.

"Thor, you've never been good at lying since you were a child. I'm sure something very interesting happened on Sakar," Loki said, "I'll find out."

"Do I need to remind you that I have a very interesting video of you in my possession?" Thor countered, "Do you believe I could play it right now?"

"... " Loki's expression froze for a moment, but he quickly regained his composed and elegant demeanor, "Thor, you can't threaten me. Most of the people here have already seen it. Even if you play it again, so what? And besides, you're not Iron Man. Would you really play it?"

"... " This time it was Thor who was at a loss for words, because he really didn't know how to play the video.

"Guardians of the Galaxy?" Thor changed the topic, fearing that Loki would mock him again for his technological ignorance, "The name sounds pretty impressive, but I've never heard of them. Loki, have you?"

"Guardians of the Galaxy? Quite the grandiose title," Loki mocked directly, "Odin only dared to guard the Nine Realms. How can this Guardians of the Galaxy, who dares to guard the entire galaxy, be worthy of it?"

"Didn't Thanos want to kill half the life in the universe?" Steve Rogers said, "If this Guardians of the Galaxy are indeed guarding the galaxy, then Thanos is their enemy too."

"Therefore, I hope this Guardians of the Galaxy lives up to their name," Natasha Romanoff said.

"When Carol left, it was to protect other planets. She made it clear that other planets didn't have protective forces," Nick Fury, on the other hand, wasn't quite taken by this so-called Guardians of the Galaxy. "If there really is such a team, Carol wouldn't have left."

"We've answered a lot of questions already, and the options in the questions, even if they're wrong, usually have some relevance," Bruce Banner said solemnly, "So I'm inclined to believe that the Guardians of the Galaxy do exist, but they just aren't well-known. Either they don't have much power and can't make a name for themselves, or... well, they're too powerful and anyone who's seen them in action has died, so no one knows."

"I agree with Bruce," Stephen Strange said, "The Guardians of the Galaxy do exist, but they might be relatively unknown. Either they lack the reputation due to their limited impact, or... well, they might be too powerful, and anyone who witnessed their abilities is no longer around to talk about it."

"Hey, Horse-Face Man, just from the way you're talking, it's obvious you've never been off Earth," Loki couldn't resist interjecting after hearing Stephen Strange's words. "True powerhouses wouldn't be unknown. My father Odin, Thanos – the most top-tier beings in the universe, aren't they all renowned throughout the cosmos? When you haven't heard of someone's name, it signifies one thing: that person is a minor character, a insignificant ant underground, not worth mentioning."

"Horse-Face Man..." Stephen Strange was nearly choked by Loki's choice of words. This darn guy, why is his tongue so venomous? He's almost on par with Tony Stark.

"Stephen, Loki has a point," Thor chimed in, "What you just said is theoretical. But in the reality of the universe, the fact is, when you become powerful enough, regardless of how you act – whether you keep a low profile or not – you can't avoid being known by others." Hearing Loki call him "Horse-Face Man," Thor struggled to hold back his laughter when he looked at Stephen Strange's face. It seemed oddly familiar, almost like he was looking at...

"Stephen, Loki is right. You were theorizing," Thor couldn't help but add, "In the actual universe, when you're strong enough, no matter how you behave – whether you keep a low profile or not – you're bound to be recognized."

"Or perhaps, this Guardians of the Galaxy hasn't been established yet?" Natasha Romanoff suggested, "After all, Thor escaping from Sakar is a future event."

"If that's the case, then it means we know nothing about this Guardians of the Galaxy," Tony Stark stated, "So, there's no need to discuss this option unless we've eliminated the other three."

"Then, let's consider option B: Thor starts a revolt and escapes during the chaos," Steve Rogers glanced at Thor and said, "I think this option is quite possible. Thor didn't willingly join the gladiator arena; he was forced into it. And there are many gladiators like him there. Where there's oppression, there's resistance. If guided properly, starting a revolt would make sense."

"Wait a minute, Grandmaster?" Loki chimed in again.

"Do you know this person?" Nick Fury's gaze shifted to Loki.
