Kai Lane Chapter 9: Finding Jace

When Kai arrived at Jack's house, he saw Jack waiting for him. Jack had a serious and angry look on his face. I could tell he was upset that Kai was so late. Kai knew he was wrong this time. The guilty boy had already decided to bow his head and respect the judge's decision as Jack dragged him in the house with his arm.

"Do you enjoy waiting for people?! I've been waiting for you for half an hour. I'm tired of waiting. "said Jack. Kai bowed his head in shame and apologized. Who knew if you really enjoyed waiting while scratching your head with your index finger?

"Did you call Kevin? Where is it? Has he come yet?" said Kai. Maybe he could have taken the fall and put Kevin in his shoes.

But things were too late for him.

"Your grandfather is here. Aren't you going to let your grandfather know why you're so late? "said the plump-cheeked blue-eyed boy who walked into the room of a few square feet. He got his hair mixed up, and, cool, he put his foot against the wall and tried to look at Kai, but it didn't seem to make him any more handsome than a grinning anchovies.

"But not many people came out again. The people who came out weren't capable of that. We were able to pull something out of the surveillance footage," Jack said.

"We found the direction the killer was going and the direction Jace was going."

"The killer traveled east from the hospital. That kid Jace went to school somewhere," Jack said.

"So we're going east," said Kai, and as he stood up, Kevin grabbed her by the arm and put Kai back in. Kai was simply pumped. He didn't even know what he was in anymore.

"First tell me why you're late," Kevin said.

"I met someone. She..." Kai smiled and his eyes shone as he spoke. And those things couldn't have escaped Kevin and Jack.

"From the look of her eyes, she's beautiful," Kevin said.

"I'm glad you didn't interrupt me, and yes, she was beautiful, and I have to accept it because you'll notice something when I tell you." The two friends were very surprised when Kai spoke like that. Because Kai wouldn't call a girl pretty easy. In fact, Kai's never called a girl pretty before.

"I've missed this." With Kai and the others, they used to do it all the time, but mostly the victim was one of them. Kai was often the one who set the trap.

"I miss it too, but we don't live in a normal world anymore. Your eyes are getting red! How can we be normal? "Requested, Kevin.

"It's not up to me. I made my eyes red. It's like I love it! "said Kai. He tried to turn it around and make them forget, but Jack still remembered everything and looked at Kai with a serious look.

"My parents always wanted me to be in a situation where I could have a good job and a house and a car and to be superior to other people, but I don't want that. I want something that's going to die for. I want to find love. I found friends like you at school, and I replaced you as my non-siblings, but I couldn't find the girl I loved. I guess I'm not that muscular. But maybe in this adventure I'll find someone who's right for me."

And Kevin was so different. He could see others and wanted someone he could really love to be happy with. But Kai knew it was just an excuse. He was coming with Kai because he didn't want anything to happen to him, just like Jack.

"Okay, but on one condition. If one of us stays behind, we will come back for him no matter what," Kai said. It wasn't really a promise to them. It was for him. He had to come back and protect his friends no matter what.

"Okay."

"Okay."

Kai took a sigh of relief when he heard that they both approved and hugged them. How could he be comfortable if he looked relaxed? He didn't want to lose his friends. Once again, fear began to take over his body as fear formed in his body.

Emma Foster 1 Hour Ago

It's been 1 hour since Emma met Kai. But Emma's mind was still in him.

She sat on the seat. She was tired. That's when She started thinking. She remembered seeing Kai somewhere, but where? That's the question she didn't know. She came to with her mother's voice.

"Come on, stop thinking about this kid so much. Go check out your new school. And if you ask that handsome boy for help, he'll come, so don't worry, you'll see him again." Emma felt her face was like a tomato with her mother's speech. But she denied nothing.

"O-okay, mom, but that kid definitely has a girlfriend. Don't get your hopes up."

"I'm going to see you," said Emma, and left. It would be nice if she saw a school. She probably would have asked Kai for help, but she wouldn't have refused. It's just friendly.

She started walking straight to the house Kai showed him. She knocked on the door when she got home. The girl who opened the door was almost the same height as Emma, maybe a few inches taller than Emma. She had blonde hair that looked like Kai's. She was beautiful with her brown eyes, but the moment she saw her, she was filled with sorrow.

"Yes?" said the girl.

"I was looking for Kai, and I think you're his girlfriend," said Emma. What she really asked was very simple and absurd. If he had a girlfriend, what would he do at 14? When the girl had a sudden laugh, Emma got scared, too.

"Boyfriend?! Hahahahaha its so funny! I think you've misunderstood a little. He's my brother. So you don't have to be afraid."

Emma's face was red with shame. But she was happy with it. But she didn't even know why she was happy.
