Ximi was as well-behaved as ever, nestling obediently in Lin Gantang's embrace.

Qian Ruoxi glanced at the Ragdoll cat that walked away with its tail held high and then at Ximi, who was being gently stroked in her arms. Indeed, the boss was still partial to this calico.

"Was everything normal at the store while I was out?" Lin Gantang asked.

Qian Ruoxi nodded, "The cat café and bookstore closed down, and our store's foot traffic and book sales increased. I brought back quite a few stray cats under the conditions you mentioned, and whenever we met someone willing to adopt, we let the customers take them according to the procedure."

There were many more cats in the bookstore, Lin Gantang saw, including breeds like the British Shorthair and American Shorthair, probably all previously abandoned.
