Right now, Marcus was intrigued by the titles humans casually gave themselves and others.

Was the world really so easily categorized, and if so, where did he fall?

Surely, he could pass as a villain due to him committing the act of murder only a few moments ago, but then again, he could see himself also being seen as someone heroic after he had attempted to come back to save Beatrice when he didn't have to.

Marcus wasn't sure if either title held any true value, so he decided to find out by comparing himself with another, to find out for himself how he compared to the woman before him.

"So you chose all of the above," Marcus said in a calm tone of voice, much to the mage's delight.

She was pleased with this because he didn't kill her right away, nor did he sound angry. The way she saw it, this was a step in the right direction.
