***Half an hour prior to Marcus's encounter with the guards...***

Two individuals wearing black robes were stealthily making their way through the various districts within the Uceris kingdom.

The seven districts of Uceris had millions of residents in total that called this kingdom their home, yet even in the middle of the day with the sun beaming high above, the furtive duo didn't manage to catch any of the citizens' attention, as they maneuvered from shadow to shadow and made their way through the streets of the kingdom.

Sometimes they'd take residence in the shadows of the various people walking about, sometimes they'd do so within the confines of a nearby street stall that cast shadows due to the sun hanging high above, and other times they'd take comfort in the various back alley's present throughout each district.
