The next couple of days passed by swiftly. The trio had seamlessly fallen back into their rhythm of training, sleeping, and eating. Although, unlike Marcus who only focused on those three things exclusively, the duo of Felicia and Alex seemed to be getting more anxious as time went on, and Marcus eventually found himself being the only one at the campsite on what was believed to be his last day with them.
Ever since the little incident with the patriarch of the Styx family a few days ago, Marcus had trained in silence, and neither Felicia nor Alex bothered needlessly talking to him unless absolutely necessary. Like this, his training progressed in both silence and in pain.
The silence gave Marcus time to think and reflect, while the pain helped remind him he was still alive.
