What is up with everybody? seriously!? (III)

As soon as the morning classes finished and the bell chimed signaling lunch time. Yamato grabbed his phone and dashed towards the teachers office. While walking there he contacted everyone he knew who has contacts in the Faculty office.

"So far so good. No one has any information on the Gender of the transfer student." Then he felt a presence behind him and saw Fushikawa Kokoro staring at him blankly. He politely smiled, "Good Day, Fushikawa-san."

Yamato expected to be insulted but her face turned red and smiled instead, "Nyohohoho! Good ay to you as well Naoe." She said as she moved away quickly with chipper steps. "She's in a good mood." He said as he went towards the faculty room. As he opened the sliding door no one was inside except for their history teacher, Ayanokouji Maro. A wierd and lanky man who wore white powder on his face.

"Hm? What is it Naoe? Did you come to Maro to learn about the majesty that is the Heian Period?" Yamato scratched his cheeks, "Apologies Sensei, I'm looking for our homeroom teacher. I had something to tell her." Maro nodded his head, "Very well, She isn't here. You may run along now and stop interrupting Maro's lunch." Yamato bowed his head, "Alright Sensei, have a good day."

Yamato then moved to another place and bumped into Kuki Hideo. "Fuhahahahahaha! Good Day Commoner! I heard there's a new transfer student arriving in your class! Worry not! Once they arrive I shall grace them with my presence and treat them like I treat all of you! I shall take care of everyone!" He said as he walked away confidently.

"Kyarun! As expected of Hideo-sama! Your magnanimity knows no bounds!" Azumi trotted behind him. As she passed by Yamato she stopped in her tracks, "Oi Naoe, I heard you made a bet on the gender of the transfer student? I wanna join. I bet 2 on girl." She said confidently.

Yamato opened his eyes wide, "Huh? How'd you know that? I Barely told people that." Azumi clicked her toungue and handed him the money, "Just shut it and do what I said." She said holding his hand a little longer while her face slowly turned a shade of pink.

"Azumi! Let us go!" Hideo said from the distance. "Kyarun! As per your orders Hideo-sama!" She said as she dashed towards Hideo while giving Yamato a sidelong glance. He scratched his head, "Oh well, they're gone." He said as he scratched his chin. "But this could be a chance to make more money. I'll have to tell Cap't."

On his way to the Cafeteria he bumped into a thin and lanky old man. Beard-sensei is what people usually call him. His real name however was Usami Kyojin. Yamato smiled at this golden opportunity. "Sensei! Can I talk to you for a bit." Usami looked behind him as scratched his head, "Oh Naoe, It's you?" Yamato nodded his head and pulled him aside as they talked about the details of the transfer student.

"I mean sure I could give it to you, but what's in it for me?" Yamato smiled as if waiting for this golden opportunity. "Well, of course it's not free. How about we talk it over lunch? My treat of course." Usami sighed but smiled in the end, "Sure lay it on me kid."

After lunch he went back to his classroom only to see everyone chattering away. He looked around and both Kazuko and Miyako weren't around. He stared at Cap't, "Any ideas where they went?" Cap't shrugged and said, "Dunno, but I saw them both go with Chikarin and the others." Yamato smiled softly, "She's grown up huh." Cap't eyes glimmered. "I can't say I disagree with you there. Seeing someone who has been such a shy and gloomy kid go out and make friends make me feel like a proud parent. All thanks to you Tactician!" He laughed and elbowed Yamato. "So? Have you ironed out the details?" Yamato nodded his head, "I got everything I need. On another note no one has any information on the gender of the transfer student."

Cap't nodded his head, "Yosh! We'll commence our plan after school!" He said as he pointed at Yamato excitedly. The Bell chimed once more signalling the start of the afternoon classes.

After the class and their last teacher for the day has left the room, Cap't clapped his hands to gather everyone's attention. "Hey Guys, Listen up! You know the transfer student? They're shrouded in mystery. We don't even know their gender. So why don't we gamble on if it's a guy or a girl? I got the betting slips all ready!" He said making all of their classmates perk up their ears.

Mayo stood up from her seat and approached Cap't, "Hey! Hey! I told you not to gamble! You should value the importance of mon--" She was cut off as Gakuto picked her up. "Out of the way class rep it's dangerous."

"Wawawawa! Don't pick up your class rep!" She protested to deaf ears. Ikurou was the first to approach Cap't, "Nice! Are you gonna be the bookie?" Cap't grinned, "That's right! I won't be taking any fees. Just bet on boy or girl."

Suguru fixed his glasses, "The payoff?" Cap't raised one finger, "Thousand Yen a pop, the payout is double. Whaddya say? Pretty fair right?" Chika then smiled, "Count me in! Three for boy!" The rest followed suit as they betted on the odds. Surprising Yamato however was Kazuko betting 4 on girl. "I wanna make a little money. There's a book I wan't to buy." She said making Yamato open his mouth, "Oi! Wanko are you sure about this?" She nodded her head and walked back to her seat. Cap't looked at Yamato, but the latter shrugged.

"Miyako you in?" Yamato looked at her with a grin. She sighed at her antics, "You're planning something shady, but it's a chance to socialize." She said as she bet 5 on girl. "OH!? I'm proud of you girl." He said as he wiped the imaginary tears in his eye.

As the betting went on the others made predictions and what not. Mayo on the other hand was worried, "Waaaah! Everyone's turning into bad kids." Gakuto smiled, "They were already bad kids. That's why it's easy to get them to gamble." Yamato gave him the signal and he bet 3 for girl. Moro did the same.

Coincientally Usami was walking down the corridor. A few students saw him and they rushed to him before betting. Yamato stared at him and gave him the signal. He nodded as he gave those who asked him false info.

On the way home the Kazama family was walking on the Tama river.

"We got a lot of people who bet on boy." Yamato said as he messaged his contacts. "Heh. Your false rumor plan worked." Miyako sighed at the two of them. "You two are hopeless" Cap't laughed, "Before lunch we already figured out their gender. We let the rumors loose during lunch."

Yamato nodded his head, "I didn't want people to notice the lie so I stayed out." Cap't grinned, "Miyako, see what kind of guy Yamato is? And you still want him?" Miyako put her palms on her cheeks, "He's so amazingly devious."

Gakuto laughed, "We made money today!" Moro smiled but refrained from responding. "Oh no. Should I reveal your plans to everybody?" Yamato karate chopped her on the forehead "Hey!" She grinned at him, "You're a man. You should know what I want." Yamato sighed, "I have no Idea. I can never follow your crazy plans."

However contrary to everyone's expectations Miyako shook her head instead of letting it go and making a joke. "Not this time yamato boy. I have everyone's contacts on my phone. Kukukuku." She showed Yamato a premade message that is targeted to everyone in their class. Yamato had sweat building on his forehead, in the end he just sighed. "Fine, To appreciate your efforts on making friends. I shall take you out."

Miyako smiled and twirled as she did a pose. "V" Gakuto opened his eyes wide, "Hey! Are you sure about this Yamato?" He nodded his head, "She deserves a rewards atleast." Miyako blushed, "I wan't your magnum!" Yamato karate chopped her on the head again, "Absolutely not! We're going outside." Miyako blushed even further. "How daring! Fine, I accept your challenge!" Yamato looked up in the sky and sighed, "You're a hopeless case."

Kazuko on the other hand was silent throughout their trek home. They all looked at one another. Cap't cleared his throat. "Allright everyone! Wanna grab a bite on Nakamise Way? My treat!" Kazuko smiled at their offer, "Thanks but I'll pass today." Everyone nodded their heads and looked at Yamato. He gave them the okay signal.

"Alright call us if you need anything!" Cap't waved her goodbye dragging along everyone. Yamato followed them halfway until a certain distance. He watched Kazuko sit on the slope near Tama River and sigh. "Alright Tactitian! I leave her to you." All of a sudden Momoyo dropped down from the sky. "Cheer her up okay lil bro?" Yamato scratched his head, "I will, I will." Momoyo then stared at Capt. "What's this thing I heard about free food?" Cap't shrugged and walked away. "Also Miyako I have something to talk to you about." Momoyo said. Miyako then nodded her head, "What a coincidence Momo-senpai."

Yamato stared at their fading figures at a distance and sighed. He stretched his body and said, "Alright! You got this Tactician!" He walked towards where Kazuko was sitting.
