"You have at least a minute, Lord Schrödinger!" Elysia called out, her voice echoing with urgency.

Xin didn't like the sound of that. He knew that Elysia couldn't stay long in this dimension, but he had hoped she could easily defeat the vampire lord with a single strike, ending this ordeal swiftly, just like what she had done in the past. 

His wishful thinking had been shattered, replaced by the harsh reality that this battle was far from being simple.

As Xin was close to the ice encasing the vampire queen, a sudden eruption of force shook the chamber. 

Lord Valerian emerged from the rubble of ice with a feral cry. "Stay away from her!" he roared, his eyes ablaze with possessive fury.

In a swift response, Elysia parried the vampire lord's advance with a wall of ravaging water. The force of the water crashed against Valerian, sending him stumbling backward again, his rage-filled cries drowned by the roaring waves.
