The group is exhausted, but the joy of victory floods them from the inside, making them smile for no reason. 

Aware of the need to recover before facing what comes next, they use the same spot where they killed the humans as a safe place to rest. 

Kaito, still elated at the success of his plan, sits down on the ground and then Victor sits down next to him. 

"Kid, you were amazing back there with your idea. We couldn't have done it without you." Says Victor.

Kaito smiles. "Thanks, but it was your magic that made all the difference."

Victor looked at Kaito and nodded, a discreet smile adorning his face. He wasn't given to many words, so he wasn't going to insist on complimenting the boy.

Meanwhile, Lysandra is tending to her own wounds, so Victor gets up and goes to help her wrap the bandage around her fingers, which always flicker when she uses fire magic.
