62 Forget Him

I wake up in the middle of the night and the person next to me is gone. So I sat up and saw Daley standing in front of the window with his back to me smoking. The white moonlight fell on his perfect side face, and he smoked slowly and sadly. He put on his trousers but his upper body was bare.

I grabbed a sheet and wrapped it around my body. I walked slowly toward him with my bare feet on the ground. When I came up behind him, he turned to me with a cigarette between his fingers.

"Would you like some?" He said, handing me his cigarette.

I took a puff from the cigarette and handed it back to him. I stood at his side, looking out of the window into the distance. The night was so quiet that the deep sound of the tide could be heard. The breeze carried the salty smell of the sea to every corner.

"I want some more." I seemed addicted to his cigarettes, and when the smoke poured down my throat and into my lungs, I felt a joy I had never felt before.
