Chapter 91: Keeping Secrets

Ken woke up with mystique in his bed.

"Holy Lana Rhodes, I did it! I'm officially a card-carrying member of the Not-A-Virgin-Anymore Club! And who better to pop that cherry than the legendary Mystique herself?" Law muttered with a smile.

He looked at her and thought 'She is sleeping like a baby... or should I say, sleeping like someone who just got a taste of the Death surgeon experience!'

He chuckled at his own joke.

'Ah, Law, you magnificent son of a gun, you've finally unlocked the achievement. Now, where's my "I Survived Mystique's Bedroom" merit badge? I should probably frame it and hang it on the wall next to my Angelina Jolie poster.'

He whispered to Raven who was still asleep "Hey there, Raven. Hope you enjoyed the Law rollercoaster. I wonder if you know that you just have become a legend in the halls of Death Surgeon's history?"

"Time to celebrate with some pancakes and maybe a victory dance on the rooftops. The neighbors won't mind, right? They're probably used to the shenanigans by now. Well, wait, I don't have any neighbours since I live on my own Island. Oh well...." Law continued to mumbled before he thought about something important.

Law contemplated on telling Mystique that it was him who killed her friend Erik and the other brotherhood mutants. After all it was only fair that she knew that she was sleeping with someone who killed her friend and was taking advantage of the situation to sleep with her.

"Uhhh...."

-----Law's dream world------

"Well, I have to confess something Raven," Law said as he nervously paced back and forth as he waited for Raven to come to the room after taking a shower.

Law muttered to himself, "Okay, Law, you got this. Just tell her the truth. Honesty is the best policy, right? Unless you're trying to stay alive in a relationship, then maybe a little white lie wouldn't hurt. But who am I kidding? I've never been one for subtlety."

Raven entered the room, her blue form shimmering in the low light. Law couldn't help but gulp, feeling like he was about to face a firing squad. "Hey, Mysty, babe, you look... blue-tiful tonight!" he quipped, trying to lighten the mood.

Raven''s expression remained stoic as she crossed her arms, her yellow eyes narrowing at Law noticing his nervousness "Something wrong Law? I have never seen you this nervous. You can tell me anything."

Law scratched the back of his head "Right, so, um, you know you've been wondering how your old pal Erik and the rest of the Brotherhood died by the hands of Apocalypse? Well, funny story..."

Law told her how he was the one that killed Erik and the rest of the mutants.

Raven's eyes widened in disbelief. "You? You killed them?" she seethed, her voice dangerously low.

Law winced, bracing himself for the storm. "In my defense, it was a Tuesday, and I was feeling particularly stabby. Plus, they kinda had it coming, what with the whole evil mutant thing."

Raven's rage boiled over "You think this is funny, Law? You think murder is a joke?" she spat, her voice echoing off the walls.

"Hey, now, let's not jump to conclusions. I mean, technically it was manslaughter at worst, right? Besides, Magneto was planning to murder the rest of humanity who won't surrender to him." Law joked weakly, realizing he was digging himself into a deeper hole.

But Mystique had heard enough.

"We're done, Law. I never want to see you again," she growled before storming out of the room, leaving Law alone with his regrets.

As the door slammed shut, Law let out a nervous chuckle. "Well, on the bright side, at least I won't have to worry about remembering her birthday anymore. Silver linings, right?" he muttered to himself.

---Dream End---

'Yeah, That sounds like a bad idea. Some kind stupid protagonist of a story might do it. But not me. She is better off not knowing it and I am better off not telling her.' Law had decided on his decision.

'On that note, I should not tell her that the sentinels are made with the help of her DNA either. Consideting how she hates mutant experimention, she would likely kill me for it. Or at least try to kill me.' Law decided to do his mutant research in secret away from Mystique 's eyes.

'Well, I have to also plan a training schedule for her before I let her do those mercenary missions. She would be perfect for espionage purposes as well as for spying. She could also do missions where someone has to be defamed.'

'Learning how to changjng into animal forms should be on a priority list. She could fly after turning into a crow or something. Turning into a cat or rat can help her spy even some organisations like Shield or Hydra. Having claws for nails should help her increase her fighting ability.'

'I wonder if she could turn her hands into weapons like the sentinels. Most likely not since well sentinels are made out of metal. But it is something to research about. Anyways, It's time to make my dear Raven breakfast and then wake her up to start her training. Not before having morning sex of course.' Law grinned at that thought and immediately started preparing breakfast.
