The next day.

The sun rose on the day which marked a new beginning for her. A beginning that is filled with mystery and adventure.

The sun's rays gently filter through the curtains, rousing Meng Xiao from her slumber. Meng Xiao is filled with anticipation, excitement and a bit of nervousness for today.

As she stood up, she saw the sleeping Luo Li. Meng Xiao did not intend to wake her so she stood up and went to bathe.

Soon, Meng Xiao was fully dressed wearing a plain long green robe with white inner wear, She combed her long ink-black hair and ready herself.

Soon, a knock on the door caught her attention. "Who is there? " Meng Xiao asked as she stood up.

The door slowly opens and her father's face appears.

"Father!" Meng Xiao said as a sudden wave of excitement overtook her and she subconsciously ran to meet him like a little girl.

"Xiao'er" Meng Yan said as he hugged Meng Xiao.

"I thought you left," Meng Xiao said.

"How could I leave without seeing you" Meng Yan said.

"Remember, this marks a new beginning for you. No matter the challenges you face believe in your strength and know that I will support you till the very end" Meng Yan said, his voice gentle yet firm.

Meng Xiao nodded, her heart heavy with excitement and a tinge of sadness.

"Yawn" Luo Li yawned as she woke up.

Looking at Meng Xiao and her father she quickly got up from the bed.

"Forgive me, master, I don't usually sleep this long," Luo Li said with her head bowed.

"It alright, I brought you here," Meng Xiao said as she lifted her head.

"I will be leaving now, take care of yourself. I have told my father to join you among the people who will be awakened" Meng Xiao said.

Luo Li's eyes glistened with unshed tears, but she managed to give a weak smile. "I will be waiting for your return young miss," Luo Li said.

"Take this," Meng Yan said as he handed Meng Xiao a pouch filled to the brim with spirit stones. "You will need spirit stones and there are a lot of appearance-altering pills in it. Since everyone knows you, you need another appearance than only a new name. Meng Xiao checked and saw a bottle containing white pills"

Meng Xiao touched it and found out that it was a spatial treasure but it was only a low-level spatial treasure with a space the size of a square room. But still, it is a lot" Meng Xiao looked at her father with an emotional eyes.

"I can't accept this, use it on yourself," Meng Xiao said as she stretched her hands holding the pouch back to her father.

Soon they came before a big carriage with two guards.

"Meng Xiao gently entered the carriage after bidding her father goodbye.

The carriage starts its journey taking Meng Xiao to the academy.

As they left Meng Xiao quickly picked up the book containing herbs and potions, She wanted to get ready for any test the Academy would offer.

As she flips through the book, she comes to a part that records Alchemy history and some crypt alchemy symbols and codes. The alchemy symbols attract her, it involves understanding and deciphering the hidden context in between each alchemy formula. It is often used to represent different elements and processes involved in alchemy formulas.

Meng Xiao used her time going through the book and understanding the different symbols and their meaning.

As the carriage passes the quiet roads with people who begin doing their daily routine.

The journey to the academy was a long one and Meng Xiao buried herself in the book using every bit of time to understand the basis of alchemy.

As the carriage moves, Meng Xiao's study of the alchemy deepens.

"I can't believe I am doing this, First escorted her to the forest and now I am escorting her to the academy on foot" The bulky guard complained as he walked.

"It's part of our job," The Skinny guard said to the other guard as they moved on.
