Ch 20-Were am I?

A/N: decided to post this chapter early because why not? but I will start to post more regularly on Monday unless I feel like posting earlier than that.

Somewhere in Liyue Thousands of years ago-

As I was sucked inside the portal the scenery around me changed, from where I was before in Eula's living room at night. the scenery changed and I was greeted by the warm sun making my eyes close for a bit since my eyes were accustomed to the dark a while ago.

Opening them back up I could see the beautiful horizon that was painted yellow, huge natural pillars of stone that towered above the forest, and in the forest every single tree was yellow. Seeing the scenery I was taken away by how beautiful the scenery was

"But why am I all the way up here!!!" all of this scenery was literally right under my feet. it seems like I was transported on literally the highest mountain here and considering the color scheme around here I'm guessing this must be liyue.

Good thing I got [Bahamut] because if I didn't then I would have had a hard time getting down from here.

"But first, Rika!" I said as RIka materialized out of my ring. looking at her I said

"Can you go around the place and scout?" I asked her.

nodding at my words she disappeared into the group of trees as she scouted around the mountain peak I was on, while I had drawn out [Judgement of Shamash] out of my holsters along with [King crimson] watching my back for safety.

After waiting for a bit Rika came back.

"Did You find anything or anyone?" I asked Rika.

Riaka shook her head and said "No there aren't any living beings, but I did find something in a cave you might find interesting" She said to me in her usual eerie and distorted voice.

"Oh really?, Then take me there," I said as I cautiously followed Rika. After a few minutes of walking, we finally reached a cave that was at the top of the mountain. entering the cave I was surprised at how abundant the elemental energy here was. it is like all the elemental energy was being attracted to this one place.

I kept following Rika until we entered a little cave entrance that had crystals of condensed elemental energy which was something I hadn't seen before s i was surprised that elemental energy could even be condensed this way.

However, what really drew my attention was where all the elemental energy was being drawn. In the middle of the crystals laid an egg that was as big as my torse, was brown, and had gold and yellow markings around the egg.

"Dam is that an egg" I asked myself. "No wonder the elemental energy was concentrating here, the egg must be feeding and living off from it until it hatches or at least until it is somewhat ready" I guessed to myself as I used my cultivation wuxia novel knowledge. Liyue was basically themed after it so it wasn't that far off from the truth.

Putting away my [Judgement of Shamash] I walked towards the egg slowly as didn't want to trigger any type of traps or things of that nature.

But as I was walking the egg stopped absorbing elemental energy. I started panicking thinking it was my fault that it happened but the next moment a golden aura enveloped the egg and burst out violently in one go.

*Boom*

*Woosh*

As the aura exploded and flowed out of it for a few seconds, it suddenly stopped, and the glow of the egg disappeared.

"Shit, what was that," I asked myself as I was hiding behind a pillar of crystals. After waiting about 5 minutes I approached the egg in all its glory but I still did not dare touch it.

"System do you know what type of egg this is" I asked

[Apologies host but I do not know, If you put it in your inventory then I will be able to scan it]

Hearing her words I hesitated for a bit not knowing what would happen but then i touched the egg and put it in my inventory

"EH! Really a dragon egg, at this rate il run out of luck to the point that il die directly from nothing!"

I was really surprised that it was a dragon egg after all who the hell leaves an egg like this all alone? The only guess I could make was that this type of species is the type that makes their offspring and then ditches.

Looking at the egg in my inventory I gained a smile on my face imagining coming back to Mondstat with a dragon and raiding Davalin out of nowhere.

"Alrighty let's go out and explore," I said as I exited the cave and went to the ledge of the mountain.

"Alright Rika go back," I said as Rika went back to my ring and I retracted [King Crison] back inside me.

"[Bahamut]" I said as I semi-primed and dragon wings appeared behind me.

Welp, I have been flying for about 30 minutes and I haven't seen anything or anyone besides some animals here and there.

But one thing I have noticed is that I'm definitely in the past. unlike the modern Liyue map layout, this Liyue doesn't have as many valleys, crates, and deformed mountains caused by Zhongli during the archon war. in other words I'm really really really back in the past or I'm a bit in the pre-war era before the Archon War. and I'm hoping its the first one because it just means that it won't happen anytime soon.

"This feels nice," I said as I was flying through the sky. I think this is the first time I have flown without fighting or having to worry about something attacking me.

"..."

God admit I jinxed myself, didn't I?
