Chapter 115

"Tsk, he simply got fortunate," Loki retorted, refusing to be lured by Bahamut's taunt.

"Oh Hermes the blabbermouth, it's been a while since I've seen you," Bahamut remarked, addressing the lurking Hermes in the background. He had remained silent since the meeting began.

"Eh, Hermes isn't present," Hermes responded from his hiding spot.

"Tsk, I'll deal with you later," Bahamut said dismissively, before catching sight of her friend Astraea at the back, accompanied by Hermes.

"Astraea, why are you sitting over there with that blabbermouth? Come over here," Bahamut shouted, while giving a light smack to a passing god and creating an empty seat beside her.

Astraea had arrived late to the gathering and was invited by Hermes to sit beside him.

'I can't believe I'm friends with this person. How did I manage all these years?' Astraea thought, feeling somewhat embarrassed by Bahamut's behaviour.

Noticing that Astraea didn't budge, Bahamut rose from her seat, pushed Hermes aside, and sat next to Astraea.

"Your children were quite fun last night," Bahamut whispered to Astraea.

"So that's why they didn't return until this evening," Astraea replied.

While they continued their conversation, the denatus meeting carried on. Soon, aliases were decided upon.

Bahamut, engrossed in her talk with Astraea, had forgotten about the task given to her by Draco, which was to come up with a cool alias for him.

As a result, Draco ended up with the alias "Black Knight."

.........….…..…

I had been racking my brain trying to gather any information on the current situation. Suddenly, a person's name came to mind: Olivas Act.

I recalled reading about this name on a wiki. 'If I remember correctly, it was something called the Nightmare of the 27th Floor,' I thought.

It was an event in which the evilus lured and killed numerous adventurers on the 27th floor.

"Ugh, there's nothing I can do now that the event has already happened," I couldn't help but mutter.

I knew that this would probably weaken Orario to some extent, but I didn't feel the need to involve myself or my familia. I decided to leave it up to the larger familias to handle.

"How about we go over there?" I suggested, pointing at some street vendors.

"Are you okay? You seemed to be lost in thought," Tsubaki asked.

"I'm fine," I replied, shaking off my previous contemplation. Adventurers died every day, after all. This was just one of those incidents.

"Ha, ha, ha, I see," Tsubaki responded, slapping my back playfully.

Now, her acts of closeness barely affected me. "How about a drink?" Tsubaki offered.

"Sigh, fine. Just don't get drunk," I replied.

"Ka, ka, ka. I won't. I have a very high liquor capacity," Tsubaki answered with a chuckle.

We then bought some snacks from the street vendors before entering a pub. Two hours later, Tsubaki yelled, "More, more drinks!"

"Ugh, she's definitely drunk. I thought her dwarven lineage would help her, but here we are," I thought to myself.

"Draco, you see, there's this idiot who joined our familia but keeps wasting his skill," Tsubaki complained.

'Hmm, could it be Welf Crozzo?' I wondered.

"I see. Then knock some sense into him," I suggested.

"I already did, but he's very stubborn," Tsubaki replied.

I didn't know what else to say. I was interested in recruiting Welf for his skill, but I wasn't sure if I had the protagonist aura to make him craft magic weapons again.

Poaching from Hephaestus also didn't sit well with me. 'Well, Bell can have him. I'll make Nikolaos better than him anyway,' I resolved in my thoughts.

Time trickled by as we spent the rest of the evening in the pub, indulging in food and drinks until Denatus had ended. "Tsubaki, it's time," I called out, but she was fast asleep.

"Sigh, I knew this would happen," I thought to myself as I carried her. From what I knew about Tsubaki, she rarely showed interest in the affairs of others unless she was close to them.

Her showing concern for me today was a sign that we were growing closer, even if nothing significant had happened. I hoped that, our upcoming date will strengthen our bond even further.

As I arrived at the front of Babel, I noticed Bahamut along with Hephaestus, Astraea, and Demeter engaged in conversation.

They seemed to be discussing something important. Suddenly, droplets of water fell on my skin, indicating that rain was approaching.

With Tsubaki in this state, I knew I had to take both her and Hephaestus back to their manor before heading home. "What happened?" Hephaestus inquired noticing me approaching.

"She suggested that we drink, and now, here we are," I explained.

"Oh my, you have grown into quite the man in such a short time," Demeter exclaimed upon seeing me. Demeter was one of the cool goddesses around.

"I graciously accepted the compliment from goddess Demeter," I replied, maintaining a polite tone.

Demeter responded with a playful tone, saying, "My, oh my. What a gentleman you are. Please do come and pay me a visit whenever you can."

"Thank you for your kind words. I would be honored to visit you sometime." I replied.

Interrupting the conversation, Bahamut protested, "Hey, stop hitting on my Draco!"

Amidst the commotion, Astraea chimed in, inspecting me closely. "My children did mention that he had grown, but this is truly remarkable. You have my admiration," she said. I expressed my gratitude, replying, "Thank you for the kind words, Lady Astraea."

As I observed the ongoing interactions, I couldn't help but sigh internally. 'Sigh, it feels like I am just repeating myself,' I thought, aware of the recurring nature of the conversation.

Suddenly, my enhanced senses picked up seductive moans coming from a familiar voice. It was Freya.

With a wry smile, I mused, 'She's probably fapping to me. But damn she truly is stunning. It's just a shame that the most attractive goddesses always seem to be a bit crazy.'

Before I could dwell on my thoughts further, a voice interrupted the conversation. It was Ishtar, trying to tempt me with her proposal.

"So, this is the Draco I've been hearing rumors about. He is quite handsome. Why don't you come to the red light district for a good time?" she suggested.

Rolling my eyes internally, I thought, 'Ugh, it seems like I finally caught Ishtar's attention'

Bahamut taunted Ishtar, saying, "Greetings Ishtar, Freya number 2." Freya, accompanied by her escort, Ottar, responded playfully, "Hmm, did someone call my name?"

Feeling overwhelmed by the situation, I silently wished for Hermes, the only other god presently hiding nearby, to come and assist me somehow.

Although I wasn't particularly close to Hermes, desperate times called for desperate measures.

The tension in the air intensified as Ishtar muttered Freya's name with rage, locking eyes with her.

Freya glanced briefly at me, holding Tsubaki, her expression momentarily scrunching up before returning to normal. It was clear she wasn't pleased with the unfolding scene.

Then, unexpectedly, Demeter interjected with a completely different intention. "Hey, the boy is already taken by the four of us," she declared, prompting confusion from the others.

Bahamut responded sternly, "Yes, he already has a harem of four goddesses. Why would he want to have a good time with you?"

'What on earth is this crazy loli talking about?' I thought, bewildered by the unexpected turn of events.

Astraea swiftly smacked Bahamut's head, causing a momentary silence to settle. Freya appeared displeased, Hephaestus blushed, Ishtar stood in utter shock and Demeter just smiled.

Amidst the tension, the rain intervened, breaking the heavy atmosphere. Freya and Ishtar silently turned to leave, leaving everyone perplexed and wondering what had just happened.

Confusion raced through my mind as I contemplated the surreal scene unfolding before me. 'What the hell just happened?' I wondered, unsure of what to make of the situation.
