CHAPTER 16: Poison Forest (I)

Aiden immediately took out a mirror from his inventory and looked at himself.

Aiden's left eye was completely bloodshot and he was completely blind in his left eye.

"Ugh...! I planned to use [Status Recovery] after completing the poison forest dungeon, but- wait, maybe I can use something else."

At first Aiden tried to use the hp potions in his inventory but...

"No matter how full my Hp gets, my eye won't heal. I've used [Emergency Restoration] before or [Status Recovery]... I need to complete the daily quest for [ Status Recovery ], but I might need [ Status Recovery ] in the poison forest. But I don't have enough gold for [Emergency Restoration] and I need to do quests to collect it."

Afterwards, Aiden opened the system messages that he had closed because he didn't have time.

"It didn't work huh. I wish I had Tatsuya's ReGrowth magic." Aiden thought for a while, and since there was nothing he could do right now, he first tried to consume the [Orb Of Fire] he had collected in the salamander dungeon.

After the system messages, some fire came out of Aiden's mouth and then Aiden absorbed all the [Orb Of Fire] one after the other.

'After my Falna level increased, 1 in stat normally makes 10, now 1 in stat makes 15.' Aiden thought.

Aiden quickly used the [Nothing Left Alive] title and did the rest of the Killer Ant's quest.

[Reward: 30 bonus stat point, 4,500 gold]

[Penalty: All stats -40, -4,500 gold]

[Killer Ant quest completed.]

[There will be an extra reward for finishing in record time.]

Afterwards, Aiden drank a stamina potion and started to title quest for all the monsters up to the 10th floor.

He earned more stat points with each mission, but he didn't distribute them to his stats this time. Due to a feeling from the [Inspiration] skill, he decided not to distribute the points, and so he collected a lot of stat points and gold until midnight.

As soon as Aiden used it, his left eye started to heal and he could see again.

[Status abnormality fixed.]

Feeling completely ready, Aiden took out the key to the [Poison Forest] dungeon, opened the portal and entered.

When Aiden entered the portal, he found himself in a huge forest. Unlike the previous forest, this one was greenish and slightly foggy.

Aiden was startled by the sudden message.

"Wait whole this fog is poison!? Shit!" 

Aiden took a piece of cloth from his inventory and used it as a mask to cover his mouth and nose.

"At first, when I thought of a poison forest, I thought there would only be poisonous plants and poisonous monsters, but even the air is poisonous. I have to do my job here fast." 

Aiden went into the forest and there were poisonous thorny plants and fruits that he was sure were poisonous.

'If these monsters live in such a poisonous place, they must have a high resistance to poison, so the poison in my gloves won't work.' Aiden thought as he covered his mouth and nose to breathe as little as possible.

Aiden started moving towards the forest, keeping his senses open as much as possible. After wandering around for a while, he found a few things.

'The good news is that there are not many creatures in this forest, the bad news is that there is more than one boss.' Aiden thought.

As Aiden wandered through the forest, he found that the green mist ended and other colored mists began. These are blood red: an area covered in dense red fog. Fiery red: an area covered in reddish fog where many plants inside appear to be on fire and there is a lot of smoke coming from the burning plants. Blue: a area filled with intense cold and many plants are frozen. Purple: a area where cobwebs are barely noticeable in a dense purple fog. And finally a desert-like area with a brown fog and lots of sandy dust.

'It seems that this green foggy area is a kind of safe zone in the middle of all the other foggy areas.' Aiden thought.

'Now I must start with one. And [Inspiration] is so quiet today.' 

Aiden thought about it for a bit and since he didn't know about any bosses, he randomly picked the one he was going to enter...

'Okay starting with blood red.' Aiden thought and entered the fog.

[You've poisoned with [Blood Poison].]

[Blood Poison]

[Effect: The rate of healing of wounds is greatly reduced.]

[Effect: The affected person's blood flows faster and in the event of a cut, the bleeding effect is triggered.]

'Well that's pretty bad.' 

Aiden started walking in the forest and was looking for the boss. He wanted to find it as soon as possible and get out of this blood fog.

Aiden felt uncomfortable as he walked, like something was watching him, but when he looked around there was no one or nothing.

*Hıssss!

There were hissing sounds in the forest and Aiden thought he was getting close to the boss.

*Hısss!!!

*Hısss!!!

*Hısss!!!

Aiden moved forward and there were hissing sounds but there was no sign of the boss.

*Drip

*Tssss

Suddenly, Aiden looked directly behind him and saw a strange liquid on the ground and it was completely melting the leaf it had fallen on.

Aiden looked up and that's when he saw it. Two huge yellow eyes, a giant mouth and a long body covered in crimson scales. And on it a system text: [Bloody Mamba].

*Fwosshhh

*Boomm!

The bloody mamba attacked Aiden from above, but Aiden managed to dodge quickly.

'This bastard is smart. It intentionally lured me deeper into the forest and blocked the way back.' Aiden thought.

*Hıssss!!

The Bloody Mamba raised its body to its full size and hissed as it looked at Aiden and then...

*Fwoshhh!

With a quick momentum, it opened its mouth and attacked Aiden.

Aiden quickly ran towards a tree and as he pressed one foot against it, the moment the Blood Mamba came, he threw himself up and jumped over the Blood Mamba and got behind it.

"Eat this!" Aiden grabbed the tip of the bloody mamba's tail from behind and tried to twist it with all his might and...

"Aaaaahhhhh!!!!"

*Booommm!!

*Crack!

Aiden had barely thrown the bloody mamba into a few thick trees and the bloody mamba knocked them down with the impact.

*HIISSSSS!!!

The bloody mamba let out a deeper, angry hiss as it rose from the dust of the fallen trees.

'Oops! I guess it's too late to say sorry.' Aiden thought.

'[Body Strengthening]!' Aiden immediately used the skill and a red energy surrounded his body.

The Blood Mamba attacked Aiden again, but this time much faster than before. It was impossible for Aiden to escape against this speed, if he tried to escape, his arm or leg would be in the Bloody Mamba's mouth and he would die for sure.

That's why when the Blood Mamba came, Aiden suddenly jumped as high into the air as he could.

When Aiden jumped, the Bloody Mamba was at Aiden's feet, but Aiden jumped high enough, thanks to the speed and strength provided by his increased stats, and with half of his body still in range of the Bloody Mamba's mouth, he grabbed onto the Bloody Mamba's snout with both hands and pulled himself up to stand on the Bloody Mamba's snout on both hands.

*Booomm!!

Aiden combined mana and shadow mana on top of the Bloody Mamba and recreated the explosion, while the explosion sent the Bloody Mamba crashing hard to the ground and Aiden took to the sky for a bit.

'And that's the finishing blow!' As Aiden was thinking, he quickly nailing the Bloody Mamba.

*Booommm!!!

A giant cloud of dust was created by Aiden's impact, and then Aiden emerged covered in the blood of the Bloody Mamba.

"Blegh!~ It's so sticky and disgusting!" Aiden couldn't stop the shouting.

[You've killed the Blood Fog's Boss [Bloody Mamba] successfully.]

[You've leveled Up!]

Afterward, Aiden collected what he could from the bloody mamba. Poison fang, scales, etc.

Then he came out of the bloody fog and went back to the green area.

'For a long time I've been wanting to give a name to this explosion of mixing pure and shadow mana, but now I have one! Imaginary Mass!' Aiden thought while changing his blood stained clothes.
