After a few seconds when her happiness started to subside, Elliana finally remembered that she wasn't hugging her friend or someone she knew.

She was hugging the king of the vampire Kingdom.

Her heart skipped a beat and she quickly stepped back, looking down at her feet.

"I... I am sorry. It's just..." She found herself short of words and Sebastian who actually started to enjoy the feeling cleared his throat at the same time.

"It's okay. I understand," he whispered.

Both of them looked away from each other momentarily, a little blush rising to both of their cheeks as they finally fell into a silent agreement to not talk about it.

"Let me bring some more wood. We can rest for half an hour before finding a way to go back up," Sebastian said and he turned around to leave.

Elliana's pupils dilated. She knew if she didn't say it now, she wouldn't be able to say it later.
