Chapter Fifty-Five( Raven's Mini adventure)

(Uptown - Grantwood Road)

Jayden ended his call with Barbara, feeling a sense of relief, he had just finished telling her about the game that the Architect was throwing and hopefully, if nothing went wrong, he would be killing two birds with one stone.

As he hung up, he couldn't help but look at the black stone that was wrapped around his neck. It glowed for a brief moment before once again going dormant.

'I hope my plan works...'

Setting aside his thoughts, Jayden decided to head to the rooftop, a place where Raven normally went to rest or play.

As he reached the rooftop, Jayden's eyes scanned the familiar surroundings.

The night was serene, with a gentle breeze rustling through the city. To his surprise, Raven, his beloved cat, was nowhere to be seen.

A flicker of confusion passed through Jayden's mind as he called out for her, his voice echoing in the stillness of the night.

Seeing that his calls weren't being answered he went downstairs to look for her.

Just as he began to worry, a familiar meow broke the silence.

Jayden's eyes widened as Raven unexpectedly landed on his face as if she had magically appeared out of thin air.

Startled, Jayden caught her in his arms, a mix of confusion and amusement on his face.

Looking into Raven's eyes, Jayden questioned, "Where have you been, little troublemaker?" To his surprise, Raven responded by pointing her nose towards the end of the corridor, indicating a seemingly ordinary wall.

Intrigued and curious, Jayden approached the wall and examined it, finding nothing out of the ordinary.

Raven, however, persisted, scratching at the wall as if trying to communicate a hidden secret.

Jayden's brows furrowed in bewilderment. He wondered if there was something beyond the surface, something he couldn't perceive. He chuckled softly, thinking that maybe Raven was just being a bit cranky and in need of a meal.

"Alright, my mischievous friend," Jayden said, scooping Raven up in his arms. "Let's get you some food, and then we can come back and investigate this mysterious wall of yours."

Raven meowed contentedly as if approving of Jayden's plan. With a smile on his face, Jayden descended from the third floor, carrying Raven in his arms.

As he turned to leave, cradling Raven in his arms, a faint ethereal presence materialized behind him.

It was the Ghostly figure, their form translucent and wispy, that emerged from a crack in the wall. It seemed giddy as their spectral gaze was fixed upon Raven.

With an eerie chuckle, the ghost-like figures taunted Raven, sticking out their tongue in jest.

Raven glared at it in anger and meowed loudly. Jayden turned around in confusion wondering what Raven was hissing at but saw nothing.

'What's up with you today Raven.' Jayden was really confused. But in the end, he forgot about it and ate his dinner while face chatting with both Lola and Selina.

They were both at the bar, and since they were the bosses they could take a break whenever they wanted to talk to him.

Meanwhile Raven layed beside him thinking about what had happened when she got transported through that hole thingy.

"Hey, Jayden!" Lola exclaimed, sipping her drink. "How's everything going? Anything exciting happened today?"

Jayden chuckled, taking a bite of his meal. "Nothing much, though I did get to meet a pretty cool street artist. Oh, and Raven has been acting a bit strange today."

"She disappeared for a while and then suddenly reappeared out of nowhere. It's like she went on a little adventure of her own. But she's never dissapred for that long without me knowing...

*Gasp*

"Could it be that time of the month for cats..."

Lola and Selina stared at Jayden in confusion." You know, when cats go into heat."

That finally clarified it for them.

Selina raised an eyebrow curiously. "Really? That's odd. Cats are known for their mysterious whims, but the last time I saw her she looked perfectly normal and wasn't showing any signs of going in heat."

Jayden nodded in agreement. "I know, right? I can't help but wonder what she experienced during her little escapade."

Meanwhile, Raven curled up beside Jayden, her thoughts consumed by the strange experience she had undergone.

At first, she had felt scared and disoriented, surrounded by unfamiliar sights and sounds.

But soon, she found herself transported to an entirely different location as if passing through a portal of some sort.

The experience had left her both bewildered and fascinated.

....

(Gotham City - Wayne Manner)

Cutting to Wayne Manor, Alfred found himself engrossed in a phone conversation with Master Dick, one of the Robins.

As they caught up on recent events, Alfred's sharp ears detected a faint meow in the background.

Perplexed, he turned around, searching for the source of the sound. However, to his surprise, he found nothing amiss in the room.

Dick's voice filled the phone, concerned. "Alfred, is everything alright? Did something happen?"

Alfred composed himself, dismissing his brief confusion. "Apologies, Master Dick. It appears I may have imagined it, but I could have sworn I heard a cat's meow. No need to worry."

Little did Alfred know that Raven had, in fact, momentarily appeared in Wayne Manor, slipping through a crack in the floor as quickly as she had arrived.

Her unexplained presence remained a mystery, hidden from Alfred's keen eyes.

With a sigh, Alfred resumed his conversation with Dick, temporarily setting aside the puzzling meow.

However, in the back of his mind, he couldn't help but wonder if there was more to the situation than met the eye.

'That reminds me, Master Bruce has been becoming more scruffy as of late, maybe I could have that young man Jayden fix him up a bit.' Alfred thought making a mental note to visit Jayden one of these days to make an appointment.

.....

( Metropolis - Marthaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!)

After Raven's unexpected disappearance from Wayne Manor, she was abruptly transported to a bustling city known as Metropolis.

The towering skyscrapers and busy streets were filled with citizens going about their daily lives, oblivious to the mysterious cat's sudden arrival.

Raven found herself in the heart of the city, near the famed Daily Planet building, where she caught a glimpse of Superman soaring through the sky, his red cape billowing in the wind.

Before Superman who had seen Raven suddenly pop up in the sky comprehend this strange phenomenon, she was whisked away to her next destination.

Seeing her disappear all of a sudden had Superman scratching his head in confusion.

....

( Gotham City - Make sure to carry your clown repellent at all times!!)

Raven materialized in the darkened alleys of Gotham City, a place known for its sketchy streets.

Something she knew all too well.

The eerie ambience of the city enveloped her as she traversed the streets, passing by the iconic Bat-Signal perched on the rooftop of Gotham City Police Department.

In the distance, she spotted the silhouetted figure of Batman, patrolling the rooftops, a symbol of justice in this crime-ridden city. Yet, before she could approach she vanished once more.

....

(Portugal - Suuuuiiiiiiiiiii!!)

Her third stop was the beautiful region of the Algarve in Portugal. The sun-drenched beaches, vibrant culture, and picturesque landscapes greeted her as she materialized in this coastal paradise.

The locals marvelled at the presence of the mysterious black cat who appeared out of nowhere, unaware of the extraordinary journey she was undertaking.

From Algarve, Raven's next destination was Rome, the eternal city.

As she appeared in the heart of Vatican City, her sudden appearance caught the attention of the Vatican guards and even drew the Pope's curiosity.

"OH, MY GOD!!!" The pope exclaimed seeing Raven suddenly appear.

The Holy Father, surprised by the unexpected visitor, extended his hand, offering Raven a gentle pat on the head before she vanished once more, leaving behind a sense of wonder and awe.

.....

(Atlantis: "I don't Fuck fish" - Aquaman!!)

In an instant, Raven found herself transported to the fabled city of Atlantis. Deep beneath the ocean's surface, protected by some sort of bubble.

She encountered a breathtaking world teeming with vibrant marine life.

Enormous fish, larger than blue whales, glided through the azure waters, their majestic presence captivating Raven's attention.

However, these colossal creatures, mistaking her for a delectable morsel, began to approach with an appetite.

Sensing the impending danger, Raven's magical teleportation crack whisked her away just in the nick of time, ensuring her safety.

.....

(Themyscira - Home of Amazon Delivery.)

The next teleportation brought Raven to the mystical realm of Themyscira, home of the mighty Amazonians and Wonder Woman herself.

As she materialized on the lush island paradise, she found herself surrounded by fierce and noble warrior women.

Their strength and grace filled the air as they trained and prepared for battle. Raven had appeared on a hill not too far away from them so they hadn't spotted her.

However, right behind Raven a familiar figure to almost all comic book fans was standing right behind her, and bathing under the water of a great waterfall.

Wonder Woman sensing something in the area grabbed her sword and looked around cautiously...She thought it may have been one of her sisters trying to sneak attack her, but instead, she was shocked to see that it was actually...

"A cat...In Themyscira, by Zues's Beard, how did you get here little one." Diana asked in fascination and melancholy.

Wonder Woman, with her golden lasso and powerful presence, acknowledged Raven's presence and walked towards her.

Raven too, approached her trying to ask for help...

However, before any meaningful interaction could occur, Raven was whisked away to her next destination.

"Meowwwwwwwww! ( Fuuuuuuuuuck!)"

....

( Oa - Fear the Yellow!!)

Raven's journey continued as she found herself transported to the distant planet of Oa, the headquarters of the Green Lantern Corps.

The celestial city shimmered with emerald energy, and Guardians of the Universe observed Raven's arrival with shock.

Among them, the legendary Green Lanterns prepared for intergalactic patrols, their power rings emanating an aura of cosmic might.

Raven's appearance intrigued some of them while others were put on high alert and ready to capture her, but she disappeared before they could comprehend the reason behind her presence.

With each teleportation, Raven's encounters with DC Comics' iconic characters and locations became more fleeting and enigmatic.

The force that propelled her through these realms seemed intent on keeping her like that for a while.

...

(Back at the barbershop)

Raven's tumultuous journey through the realms of the DC Comics universe eventually led her back to the familiar surroundings of the barbershop.

As she reappeared, she gracefully landed on Jayden's head, surprising him once again.

He instinctively reached up to gently lift her off his head, a mix of relief and curiosity in his eyes.

Jayden stared at Raven intently, his voice filled with a mix of concern and amusement. "Where have you been all this time, Raven?"

Raven had tried telling him what had happened, but being a cat she couldn't communicate it well.

And when she was being dragged back downstairs, she saw the person responsible for her plight and glared at him.

"Meowwww!( This isn't over punk.)"

The figure only chuckled as if understanding what Raven had said, before it disappeared leaving Raven to finally rest after everything she went through.

I hope you enjoyed this chapter. Plus getting to see some of Dc's Iconic characters for the first time.
