If there was something Declan didn't do, it was play games like this. He loved surprising people, but he had never done it by blindfolding the other party. It wasn't part of the thrill for him, but Sheila had texted him and really wanted this. Plus, she was convinced it would help Mia feel better about her sudden decision to go back into the industry. The fact that there were people who cared for her and celebrated her would be a big turn-on - Sheila's words. Declan had swallowed his objections and gone along with it, but now he was in charge of blindfolding her.

"Are we there yet?" Mia's voice was small and filled with excitement. Ever since she announced her return to work, she had been in a brighter mood, and Declan was convinced Sheila was right. The surprise party was going to be good for her.
