Synopsis

Orpheus Athanasiou was a young, weak student that faced every difficulty a weak magus faced. Being called a late bloomer by everyone because of his poor ability affinity and was bullied for this reason but it all changed when he was sent on a school expedition, which everyone thought was to kill him. Right there on the expedition, he met an elemental beast that seemed to be guarding an ability orb. While trying to save himself from the assault of the beast he absorbed the element in the orb not knowing whether the orb was corrupted or not. On waking up, the beast told him that he absorbed an element that contained the soul of its former user Time went on until a prophecy was made that the life of humanity as a whole is at stake and they needed to embark on a quest to enable them fend off the danger. Orpheus was chosen as one of the people to embark on this quest where he met the four guardian beasts. They took him to the Universe who told him that he was the chosen one in a prophecy Which prophecy? What will be his fate from then onward?

Chapter 1Prologue

In the days when chaos and order lived in harmony, the gods ruled the earth and lived among humans reigning supreme. It all went well until a strange meteorite with seven different colours – Orange, Blue, Brown, White, Gold, Black and Yellow – hit the earth's core changing every living and non-living thing within it. This change made humans to have abilities that made them to be on par with gods in terms of strength and life span. This change was called 'The Shift' and until today is known as humanities liberation from the ruling of the gods.

The Shift also changed the earth's geographical and biological characteristics by replacing the earth's minerals with magic stones and gems and giving creatures abilities. The geographical change attracted mythical creatures to the earth and humanities old weapons became useless when fighting them.
