CHAPTER 26 – FLOAROMA FESTIVAL (Fixed)
In the previous chapter we see, from Koharu's perspective how he lives his life during these two weeks, how he learns about Ash, his adventures and weighs his proposal, which in the end he ends up accepting, but not only does that happen, but he also becomes his 4th girlfriend, however, before leaving, Koharu needs a week to graduate from the Academy, so it's time to wait a week, while right now, our heroes are at Koharu's house meeting Ash's future father-in-law, Professor Cerise.
With Ash.
Excuse me, can you repeat what you said again?" – I asked.
I don't think I heard what he said well.
"Of course, I want to give you and your colleagues a job" - she repeated.
"Excuse me, but we're Pokémon trainers right now, we can't work" - I replied.
"Come on, don't rush to refuse, let me explain to you first and then you decide" – said the professor.
"Okay, we'll listen to you" - I nodded.
"Well, first of all, I must tell you that my job is to find clues about Legendary Pokémon, and, once I find one, collect data on them, the problem is that we do not have enough staff for it, especially since Camil's retirement, so I thought, who better to perform this mission than some Pokémon trainers?" – explained the professor.
In other words, what he offered Ash in the last season.
"I see, it sounds interesting" – I nodded.
"The truth is, yes, so we could see the Legendary Pokémon in the flesh, it will be exciting" - Verity agreed.
"Yes, it really sounds good" - Nancy nodded.
"I'm glad you like the idea, see? I already told you that it was not bad and I can also give you some cash for each mission completed" – smiled the Professor.
"All right, but the question here is, what do we have to do to collect data?" – I asked again.
"Oh, that's the easiest of all, you can do two things, the first, observe its behavior and the second fight against it, and do not worry I will install in the Rotom Dex an application that will analyze the Pokémon for you, you just have to keep a certain distance from it" – explained the professor.
"Sounds good, what do you think?" – I asked the others.
"That's fine with me too" - Nancy nodded.
"Pika pi" – Pikachu nodded.
"And it also looks like fun, fighting a legendary sounds exciting" - Verity agreed.
"I find it interesting too" - Koharu nodded.
"Well, it's decided, mainly because I already have your first mission" – smiled the professor.
"Which one?" – I asked curiously.
"In Floaroma City, in the Shinnoh region there is going to be a festival known as 'Floaroma Festival' in which people will observe the blooming of the Gracydean flowers, and it turns out, that every year a small number of Shaymin come to adopt their sky form, and that's where you come in, I want you to collect data about Shaymin, You can fight, observe or even if you are lucky to capture, anything can happen" – explained the professor.
"Well, when are we leaving?" – I asked.
"That's the best, it's festival is within 8 days, so give time to Koharu's graduation, everything perfect" – explained the professor.
"Very well and since he has offered us so much and even accepted our relationship, I will give him a little gift" – I smiled.
"What kind of gift?" – asked the professor curiously.
"This, come on Mew, come out for a while" – I said as I pulled Mew out of his Pokéball.
"Mew" - Mew said, perching on my free shoulder.
"You can study Mew for a little while, though, without anything exaggerated," I said.
But the professor had remained static as he looked at Mew.
"Holy Moly, that's a Mew, amazing! Did you capture him?" – said the professor with his eyes wide open.
"Let's say a lot of things happened and we became partners" – I nodded.
"Mew" - Mew nodded.
"Awesome, this is unheard of, I'm going to be able to study a Mew, this must be a dream!, besides, wasn't that the Pokémon Goh left for? ... I'm sorry for say that, Koharu" – said the professor.
"Who cares about that ungrateful? Now I have my spectacular, caring, loving and handsome boyfriend" – Koharu said hugging my arm with a smile.
"I want too" - Verity said as she took my other arm.
Mew and Pikachu left my shoulders and just sighed, they had already seen this scene lots of times.
"Me too" - Nancy said, lunging down on my back.
I almost fell the truth.
"Ehem, I don't want to interrupt your couple time, but I'd like to take some data from Mew before you leave if possible" - the professor coughed.
"Go ahead" – I nodded.
To be honest it was nothing special, we simply went to his laboratory and a scanning machine to Mew, as if it were an x-ray, but without radiation, and, then finished, the process did not last even 10 minutes, the bad thing is that it was already in the afternoon.
"I know, how about we go have a drink out there? I invite – said the professor cheerfully.
"That seems right for me" - I nodded.
"I want a steak with potatoes!" - exclaimed Nancy.
"I want a sirloin!" said Verity.
"I prefer a little lighter, I'll eat a salad" - Koharu said.
"It seems to me that this food is going to be expensive for you" - I sighed.
"It doesn't matter, today I feel cheerful, my daughter got a great man, I have new staff and I was able to collect data from the Pokémon Singular Mew, today I invite everything, no matter what!" – said the professor.
And so, we spent the day, eating, laughing and then having dinner at Koharu's house where he cooks pasta carbonara and yes, it is one of the few things I know how to cook, but, apparently and as they repeated, it seems that everyone liked it.
Unfortunately, the time has come to leave.
"I have an idea, why don't you stay at my house? It's already night and I don't feel good if I let you sleep there having my house here" - Koharu proposed.
"We don't want to be a nuisance" - Nancy said.
"Nonsense, you are now my family!" – said the professor.
So we stayed at Koharu's house, however, just as we were watching TV, my Rotom Dex came out of my pocket and started ringing.
It was the phone function and guess who it was, that's right, my mother.
"Hi mom" – I greeted.
"Wow, you haven't even sent me a message for two weeks, but it happens because of Nancy, how could I know my son was okay?" – said my mother.
"Mom I'm sorry, but... wait, did you say Nancy?" – I asked in confusion.
"Yes, Nancy, I, Verity and Leaf talk from time to time" – my mother nodded.
"Nancy, Verity, how did you get my mother's number?" – I asked the girls sitting on the couch.
"Leaf gave it to us, she said we better tell your mother the truth, because you would take time to do it, so we called her when you were away with Koharu," Nancy replied.
Then they both greeted my mother.
"I'm glad to see you girls" – smiled my mother.
Damn, they were actually talking to each other, so I guess I don't need to explain our relationship to him anymore.
"Exactly, and now let me meet my new daughter-in-law, Where is Koharu?" – my mother asked.
When Koharu heard his name, he was startled and peeked into the Rotom Dex.
"I am Koharu, nice to meet you!" - said Koharu nervously.
"Don't be nervous, from now on we are family, so call me Mom" – said my mother.
"It's okay mom" – Koharu nodded happily.
"Very well, and now that you are all, I want to invite you to the Floaroma Festival to be held in Shinnoh in 8 days" – said my mother.
"Really, you too?" – I asked in surprise.
"Why did you say that?" – my mother asked confused.
"It's a long story, but let's say we were going to go from the beginning," I replied.
"Then perfect, because a friend invited me and I couldn't refuse the invitation, she said it was something we couldn't miss," my mother explained.
"Since when do you have friends in Shinnoh?" – I asked curiously.
"Since always, anyway, I will go in 4 days to Sinnoh, if you want to come just say" – said my mother.
"We can't, Koharu has his graduation in a week" – I denied.
"Oh, what a pity I can't be, I've already bought the tickets and even promised my friend that I would go, forgive me Koharu, I'll give you a gift, I'll buy you whatever you want" – smiled my mother.
"N-No need mom" – Koharu refused.
"I insist... anyway, I have to hang up, by the way, call Professor Oak, he said that as soon as you could call him, he has something very important to tell you or so he told me" – said my mother.
"Okay" - I nodded.
"Well, I'm saying goodbye, see you, by the way, I'll call you when I arrive, be sure to pick up the phone" – said my mother.
"Okay, goodbye" – I said goodbye.
"Goodbye girls" – my mother said goodbye.
"Bye bye" – they said.
And so my mother hung up, while I immediately called Professor Oak, if it is important what he has to say it is better to know as soon as possible.
"Hey Ash, good evening, is something wrong? It is not normal for you to call" – said Professor Oak.
But he seemed a little angry, it seems to me that I have to call them all more often.
"Yes, my mother said she has something very important to tell me and I decided to call him now" - I nodded.
"True, it's very important" – he nodded.
"Well?" – I asked again.
"You see, a few days ago I received your Rotom Dex data from a very rare Pokémon, Mew, is it true that you caught it or did the Pokédex break down?" – asked Professor Oak.
"Well, a lot happened and yes, I caught him" – I nodded.
"Well, I will leave my surprise aside to tell you to be careful when using it" – warned Professor Oak.
"What do you mean?" – I asked.
"Don't get me wrong, it's for your good, there are many people who would literally do anything to get a Mew, so promise me that, until you're strong enough, you don't take Mew out in front of anyone" - Professor Oak said seriously.
"I understand, Professor, I'll be careful" - I nodded.
And he's right, if Team Rocket found out I have a Mew, they'd come for me with their full arsenal because, if they own it, they could create another Mewtwo or even worse.
Or even people with an obsession with catching rare Pokémon could stalk me, so I have to be careful.
"I'm glad, by the way, your mother has told me that you actually have several girlfriends now, take care of them, and having said that, I say goodbye here, I have some important things to do and remember to be careful" – said Professor Oak.
"Goodbye" – I said goodbye.
And then hung up.

A week had passed and graduation day arrived.
For those who wonder, it was a normal graduation, like those on Earth, you just have to add Pokémon to the surroundings and already, Koharu had many friends who were happy that in the end she found someone who wanted her, in other words, I, they were also happy that she could go on adventures to fulfill her dream and well... let's just say they didn't speak very highly of Goh.
To tell you the truth, I feel sorry for taking away, most likely, his future wife, but his self of this world did not treat poor Koharu very well, so I guess he deserves it.
It was a pretty nice day, but finally the day came when we had to leave, the festival would be around 5 pm, so we had to get up quite early in the morning, luckily, the Professor took us by car to the airport of Ciudad Saffron, he gave us the money for the taxi to get to Pueblo Floaroma, which, according to him, were business expenses and we took the direct plane to Ciudad Jubilife.
