CHAPTER 18 – VS LT. SURGE (PART TWO) (Fixed)

In the previous chapter we see how our heroes are heading to fight against the LT. Surge with the aim of obtaining its third medal, however, by order of the same, the girls did not have permission to see Ash fight, but would have to devise their own strategies to weaken him, as for Ash, he has already lost a Pokémon, while the LT. He arises only one, but when he was about to weaken Charmander, he evolves into Charmeleon.

With Ash.

Charmander had just evolved and now I find myself in a dilemma, in the original anime, when evolving, both Charmeleon and Charizard stopped obeying Ash for a while and even made him lose the Pokémon League, that's why I was dreading this day, however, my worries were in vain, as Charmeleon turned and gave me a thumbs up.

"Charmeleon data has been recorded in the Pokédex!" – that's what Rotom Dex said, as always.

"Good, very good, now it's our turn to go on the offensive, Metal Claw!"

"Even if it evolves, it won't be able to with us, Thunder Punch!"

Both collided again and again, but now, unlike before, there was no disadvantage for Charmeleon, but both were tied in power.

"Separate and use Flamethrower!"

Charmeleon separated from Electabuzz and when he was at a safe distance he used his Flamethrower.

"Use Quick Attack to dodge and finish it with Thunder Punch!"

Electabuzz dodged Charmeleon's Flamethrower and used Thunder Punch against it.

"Metal Claw!"

But, unlike last time, both attacks connected and both Pokémon remained static for a few seconds until both fell to the ground weakened.

"Charmeleon and Electabuzz can't keep fighting!" – said the referee.

"Wow, you've got me on the ropes, who was going to say it, but you're not much better either" – smiled the LT. Arises.

"True, but I haven't lost yet" – I nodded.

But I'm fucked, very fucked, if Pikachu doesn't win the next match, I doubt very much that Phione will be capable, I don't want to use it if possible, but I must trust Pikachu, we will win for sure.

"Raichu, I choose you!"

And his Raichu, probably the same one we saw in Diglett Cave, went out into the field.

"Yes, this is the same Raichu, but don't think that the ones I have reserved for your girlfriends are weaker than him" – nodded the LT. It emerges that he seemed to have guessed what he thought.

Then I looked at Pikachu confidently.

"Dude, it's your turn, prove that although Raichu is the evolution of Pikachu, we are better than him" – I said with a smile.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded as he jumped into the field.

"How ironic, I never believed that you would fight Raichu with your Pikachu, I thought you were going to show the Pokémon that you did not show yet" – said the LT. Something surprised emerges.

"Pikachu and I will beat you, together we are unstoppable, no matter that Raichu is his evolution" – I said with a firm tone.

"We'll check it now, use Iron Tail!"

"Dodge it, then use Quick Attack and Thunderbolt!"

Pikachu managed to dodge the Iron Tail and connect the Thunderbolt, however, he did practically nothing to say nothing.

"An electric attack on an electric Pokémon? I thought you smarter than that."

"It was just to test something, but now that it doesn't work, Quick Attack!"

Pikachu shot towards Raichu and hit Raichu squarely, which he pushed back, but quickly recovered.

"Good hit, but that's not remotely enough, Iron Tail!"

"Pikachu, let yourself be beaten and watch!"

"What?" asked the LT Surge in surprise.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.

Raichu hit Pikachu with all his might and sent him flying, but Pikachu tenaciously got up.

"Are you okay Pikachu, do you think you can do it?" – I asked curiously.

"Pika pi!" – Pikachu nodded.

"Well, let's prove ourselves!"

"I don't know what you are planning, but it will definitely not work, Iron Tail!"

Pikachu let himself be beaten like three more times before looking at me and nodding.

"Okay, then let's prove what you have, Iron Tail!"

Exactly, my strategy was as follows, since it was difficult for me to beat Raichu with my current attacks, why not learn a new one? I was already planning it with Pikachu on the way here, and yes, I knew he had that attack because I saw it the other day in Diglett Cave, sideways while fighting Sprigatito, it was only less than a second, but I saw Raichu's tail light up and I guessed it, unfortunately teaching an attack on a Pokémon in this world was very difficult, this is the only way I found to, not only defeat Raichu, but teach Pikachu Irontail that will be very useful in the future.

And having explained this, let's get back to the important thing, Pikachu illuminated his Tail that turned into what appeared to be a metal chunk and launched himself towards Raichu.

"Did he learn the attack through the punches? Hahahaha, this is amazing, but not enough, just a newly learned attack is not remotely enough, show them what the real attack looks like, Iron Tail!"

The clash of both attacks reverberated at the scene.

"Keep up with Iron Tail, show how good we are!" – I said.

"You too, keep going with Iron Tail!"

"Piiiiikaaaaa, chuuuuu!" - roared Pikachu.

Iron tail after Iron Tail echoed in the place, but in the end, one of the Pokémon gave way and was sent flying, weakening completely.

"Raichu can't continue, Pikachu and therefore the aspiring Ash wins this battle!" – ruled the referee.

I won't bore you about what happened next, Pikachu and I hugged, the LT. Surge congratulated me and gave me the medal and we left the place, where Nancy and Verity were already waiting.

"How are you?" Nancy asked when she saw me.

"Did you win?" – Verity also asked.

I simply smiled and showed them the medal, to which the girls responded with hugs and some kisses, at least until the LT. Surge coughed a little.

"Ehem, I'm sorry to interrupt, but who's next?" – asked the LT. Arises.

"We already drew lots and I won!" – Nancy said cheerfully.

"Perfect, by the way, since you've already won you can stay to see your girlfriend if you want" – added the LT. Surge.

"Can Verity stay?" – I asked.

"Unfortunately I remain firm in question to that" – he denied.

"Then I'll refuse your offer and keep her, do you mind Nancy?" – I asked.

If possible I would like to see her battle, but I am in a dilemma here, do I leave Verity alone or Nancy? Believe me it was not easy, but I decided to opt for the second option, there is no other reason, only that.

"No, of course, have fun" - Nancy denied.

But I walked over and hugged her.

"Listen to me carefully, even if I am not there you know that I am cheering you from outside and something else, I promise you that, if the same thing happens in the other Gym, I will stay with you this time, do you understand me?" – I said.

I think this is a good option, so I guess the disappointment will not be so much, damn LT. Surge actually put me in this position, although their logic makes sense, the problem this gives me, far exceeds their damn logic, but they are their standards after all.

"Will you promise me?" asked Nancy shyly.

"Well, of course" - I nodded.

"Then don't worry, you can go, as long as you remember that tonight will be passionate" - Nancy said quietly.

But Verity seemed to hear him and grabbed my arm.

"You don't forget me, do you?" - asked Verity, raising an eyebrow.

"You could have left us alone for a night, but anyway, okay" - Nancy sighed.

After this, the LT. Surge and Nancy headed to the battlefield while we went to the Coffe Shop.

What if it bothers me that my boyfriend doesn't see my fight and goes with Verity to flirt? Obviously it bothers me, but I also understand her posture, does she come with me or does she go with her and leave her alone? The answer to this was difficult and being logical it is a quite valid option, so I will accept it, plus he promised to see me in the next fight, so it's not too bad, I guess, he should also think that, although he is not with me, he is cheering me on from the outside, they are both cheering me on.

"Then I'll win for sure!" – I nodded confidently.

"I like your spirit!" – nodded the LT. Arises.

Then the referee came over and gave the signal.

"The rules are simple, 3 vs 3, whoever weakens the rival Pokémon first, will be the winner, they can start!" – said the referee.

"Voltorb, go ahead!"

"Nidorina, I choose you!"

Both Pokémon stepped out of their Pokéball and stared at each other.

"Use RolloutVoltorb!"

The enemy Voltorb was launched at Nidorina, the good thing is that I already foresaw that Voltorb could use that attack and I have the perfect counter for this.

"Double kick and send him flying, if he is in the air he can't do anything!"

Nidorina quickly approached the spinning Voltorb and sent it flying with a Double Kick.

"¡Use Swift!"

"¡Kick him!

Nidorina nodded, jumped up and kicked the Meteors like small balls, and then used Double Kick to send Voltorb crashing to the ground.

Voltorb was badly injured.

"Voltorb, come closer using Rollout!"

Same thing again?

"Kick him with Double Kick again!"

But just as the Double Kick was going to hit again.

"Self-destruction!"

"Nidorina retreat!"

But it was too late and Voltorb exploded causing a huge explosion.

When it dissipated I could see Nidorina damaged but not weakened, while Voltorb fell weakened.

"Voltorb can't go on, Nidorina wins!" – the referee ruled.

"You did well, now it's your turn, get out, Electabuzz!" – said the LT. Surge throwing his Pokéball

Now the good thing is coming, Voltorb's attack left Nidorina touched, thank goodness I keep something up my sleeve.

"Come on, let's prove that the type disadvantage does not affect us, Quick Attack!"

"Double kick!"

Both attacks collided with each other, but in the end Nidorina was much more tired and lost the shock.

"Are you okay?" – I asked with concern.

"Rina" – nodded.

"Okay, come on, get closer to him!"

"I don't know what you're planning that won't serve you, Quick Attack!"

Electabuzz quickly approached Nidorina, but I was already expecting this, so when I was close enough to not be able to dodge it was my turn.

"Mud-Slap!"

Both attacks hit causing Nidorina to fly out and Electabuzz to take significant damage from receiving a head-on Earth-type attack.

Nidorina could barely get up.

"Can you hold on a little longer?" – I asked somewhat nervously.

"Rina!" – Nidorina nodded.

"Well, use Double Kick!"

"Quick attack!"

But luck played in my favor and Electabuzz completely failed his attack so the Double Kick hit squarely, but, apparently did not do as much damage as the Mud Slap.

"Mud-Slap!"

"Dodge it with Quick Attack!"

But once again, luck was with me and Electabuzz was unable to dodge and received my attack head-on.

"Electabuzz, show who's in charge, use Rock Smash!"

"Double kick!"

But this time luck did not play in my favor and Nidorina fell to the ground, weakened by Electabuzz's attack.

"Nidorina cannot continue, it is the victory of Electabuzz!" – ruled the referee.

The LT. Surge could have changed Pokémon, but, apparently the first gym leaders were forbidden to change Pokémon, I remember that, from the fifth medal this changed, or so I read on the Internet.

"Snivy, let's prove that we can win!"

And Snivy came out of her Pokéball ready to win.
