Immortals retained a hope that there might be salvation but Mortal didnt have that. Infact, Mortal live do few decade and that all but jumped to danger nonetheless. All immortal that were shown has live for millions of not more, they already experienced what was needed
Migos:were you reading with your eyes closed? there are alot of times where the immortals were facing true death in the story and they still fought without falling into despair. heck even if you ignore that, what mortal will be able to not give up while being dissected and tortured for millions of years like erohim? or not go insane after dying countless time while tenaciously marching forward just to complete their duty like the winter King's son?
