Siege of the Nexian Acropolis 2

On the eastern front, the Nexian infantry could only hide in the trenches as cannon fire rained on the landscape. In some instances, stray bombs landed in the ditches, blowing up the poor defenders into bits. Collateral damage couldn't be avoided as few of the shells passed over the trenches and their targets, hitting the nearby structures and blowing them up. The lives of the occupants were snuffed out and those who luckily survived were left with gruesome injuries. The destruction the bombs wrought caused the residents to flee their homes to save their lives.
