Chapter 4

Back to Barry and Nathaniel.

After they were taken to the police station by Joe, they were told what had happened to their mother and that their father was responsible for it.

This led the two of them telling the police what had transpired in their house and that their father was not responsible for the murder of their mother but the police did not believe them. This led the twins to be separated as Barry was taken in by Joe and Nathaniel was taken in by their mother's friend Eliza Danvers.

The twins weren't separated by just homes but by Cities because Eliza leaves with her family in National city which is hundreds of miles away from Central City so they wouldn't get to see each other very often.

Barry and Nathaniel said goodbye to each other when they came out of the court and went with their respective guardians. Barry went with Iris and Joe in his police car while Nathaniel left with Eliza to the airport.

"Don't be sad about your separation from your brother, you will see each other on every holiday and you can be friends with my daughter since you are the same age as her."

Eliza comforted Nathaniel she saw the sad expression on his face after they boarded the plane. Nathaniel didn't say anything and just nodded his head.

The flight took them two hours and a few minutes to reach National City airport and they got off the plane after it landed and met up with Jeremiah Danvers but he wasn't the only one there as standing beside him was their eleven-year-old daughter, Alexandra Danvers.

Alex came and hugged her mother when she saw her before looking at Nathaniel and introducing herself to him.

"I'm Alexandra Danvers, it's nice to meet you."

"Same here, I'm Nathaniel Allen."

Nathaniel nodded his head and replied to her introduction with a simple introduction of his own.

"Okay, let's head home now."

Jeremiah told them to get inside the car so they can go home after they introduced themselves to each other and they did as they were told. Nathaniel and Alex went to the back seat of the car while Eliza went to the front seat.

VROOM!

Jeremiah started the car and they drove off.

It took them an hour and a few minutes of driving to get to their house in the city and they came out of the car when Jeremiah packed it.

"Alex, can you show Nathanial around the house and take him to his room after you are done."

Eliza told Alex to take Nathaniel to his room the moment they got off the car and Alex was happy to oblige to her mother's words.

"Okay, mother. Let's go, Nathaniel, I will show you your room."

Alex pulled Nathaniel into the house regardless of his opinion on the matter and he couldn't help but smile at her behaviour.

'What a cheerful girl.'

Nathaniel thought to himself as he quietly followed behind Alex.

"He doesn't seem happy that he is staying with us."

Jeremiah said to his wife when he saw that Alex and Nathaniel were nowhere near them because during the ride here no matter how many times Alex tried to talk to Nathaniel, he will nodded his head or do nothing at all.

"Honey, no kid will be happy to stay with another person when their mother just died and their father is in prison. Just give him time."

Jeremiah nodded his head to his wife's words then he went to the back of the car and brought out Nathaniel's luggage and sent it to his room.

Back to Nathaniel.

Alex brought Nathaniel to his room upstairs after she was done showing him around the house.

"This is your room and my room is the one next door so if you need anything you can ask me."

Alex left Nathaniel alone in his room after she told him to come to her if he needs anything. Nathaniel locked the door and lay on the bed before he started thinking about what happened the night their mother was killed.

"Although they were a blur, I clearly saw four men and each had a different lightning streak. The one who took me out of the house had white lightning streaks and as of Barry, he said he was brought out of the house by the orange streak so which of the two remaining streaks killed mom and why?"

Nathaniel said to himself as he thought deeply into what happened that day and why was their mother killed and the most important question was why were he and Barry brought out of the house.

"Well, I won't get any answers just lying here would I? I promise I will find whoever is responsible for our mother's death and free you from prison, dad. You just wait for me."

Nathaniel made a promise to find the killer of his mother and prove his father's innocence and fell asleep right after as the stress of what had happened to his family finally caught up to him.

10 December 2013.

It's been thirteen years since Nathaniel and Bartholomew got separated after their mother's death and their father's imprisonment in Iron Heights for the murder of his wife.

A lot has happened to the twin especially Nathaniel specifically because a month after their separation, his relationship with the Danvers became better and as the years went by him and Alex actually developed romantic feelings for each other which Alex's parents approved of it when they were in high school because of how happy Alex was whenever she is with Nathaniel. But because of Nathaniel's good looks, he always attracted the attention of the girls which made Alex protective of him but it changed when she discovered that she couldn't handle him alone after they had their first sex.

Nathaniel later met Felicity Smoak, a computer genius who caught his interest when he went to M.I.T to further his education but he didn't pursue her because she had a boyfriend and also he didn't want to repeat what he did in his past mistakes but that didn't stop him from befriending her but a few months later, Felicity's boyfriend whose name is Cooper Seldon was arrested for hacking into the United States Department of Education.

Felicity was devastated about it and Nathanial being the good friend comforted her but they became too comfortable with each other's company that they ended up having sex. They decided to forget about it but the relationship between them never was the same again.

The two parted ways when they graduated because after graduation Nathaniel travelled to Los Angeles to look for a man named John Constantine who is a magician.

You may ask why he would want to meet a magician. Well, after years of investigating into the scientific aspect of the world to find any clues about what happened the night his mother was murdered and couldn't find any logical clues he decided to dive into the supernatural world for answers to his questions and that is why he needed to meet with Constantine.

After meeting Constantine and spending a few months with him Nathaniel wasn't able to find the answers he was looking for and instead his view of the world was broadened as he was introduced into the world of magic, demons, angels and witches. He came back to National City when he couldn't find anything and visited Felicity in Starling City with Alex.

In Starling City, he met Felicity and got to know that she was working for a vigilante known as Green Arrow who was in fact the famous billionaire Oliver Queen. Nathaniel decided to help them but Felicity declined him with the excuse that he has his own investigations to do so he decided to move back to Central City where everything began.
