A Surprise For Helena

Helena protested, questioning why Ethan could teleport such a long distance, yet he refused to arrive in Erast earlier. She had assumed that Ethan would come using the gate.

"I thought there was an issue with the gate opening. If I had known you could teleport this far, I would have waited for you to arrive. It wouldn't have been too late to wait for five or ten minutes," Helena complained.

Ethan simply smiled and gazed at Helena. He paid no mind to her complaints and said, "I'm glad to see you healthy again."

Ethan's sincere smile and gentle words left Helena momentarily speechless. She suddenly realized that they had been apart for over a month.

Ethan didn't try to sweet-talk her. He genuinely believed he had lost Helena at that moment. And now, hearing Helena's chattering voice once more, he felt an overwhelming sense of relief.

"I was really worried," Ethan admitted. "I was afraid you wouldn't open your eyes again."
