Chapter 38: Sena's complaint

Lireesa wiped her sweats away from her forehead, and calmly thought about her current strength. Today, she had made a milestone in recovering her level, which was at present level 9, quasi-legend initial stage. Despite still some distance from her predecessor's strength and visions from memories, she now really experienced her own level personally. It astounded her conjecture related to legendary powerhouse, because her mere cultivation had already shown how much strength she possessed. She didn't deny her strength was not a real initial stage because her mana and physical strength was actually similar to the powerhouse of peak quasi-legend.

Her foundation along with combination of two souls had increased the amount of mana she could contain in herself. If the level was compared to a bottle, most of the powerhouse at the same level would have gas particle inside, then her bottle was filled with liquid mana. Naturally, it was for clarification. In short, the density of mana accumulated inside Lireesa was huge and comparable to even legendary entry rank. One must remember, the difference between legend and quasi-legend wasn't only the amount of mana but also the understanding of some law. Every legend powerhouse comprehended one law and majored themselves on it. Understanding of law meant they were now starting to differ from their previous life level—mortal to the path of becoming a god.

In the current Azeroth before the dark portal opened, Lireesa was clear there were currently no legends, capable of entering demi-god realm. The highest level Lireesa had known so far was the King of Quel'Thalas, legendary peak realm. As an arcane mage, their path was easier to encounter law of this world, studied them, and finally utilizing one as one of their arms. Mages were the closest to studying the profoundness of the universe. They were so curious and too deep in their endeavor that high-elves ancestor—high-borne—accidentally introduced demons onto this planet.

Lireesa previously at the stage of quasi-legend peak wasn't without reason to qualify for her post as ranger-general in Quel'Thalas. Among the Silvermoon council or Great House of nobilities, there was at least one legend powerhouse in each family, but Windrunner never had one. So, how was Windrunner family eligible for being a general. There were only two simple reasons. Windrunner as the ancestor of ranger professions and many elves loved their family qualified for this post. Nonetheless, to possess sufficient prestige to overwhelm even the mage subordinates, ancestry wasn't enough. Strength must also prevail. Lireesa previous strength along with her family's heirloom bow, Thas'dorah, increased her combat level comparable to that of legendary rank. This semi-artifact bow increased the owner's strength unimaginably.

Sensing her current power grew her confidence to tackle her disastrous future. Strength meant everything in any situation; as long as one had amply, any scenario became a piece of paper, easy to be broken through. Bringing her concentration back to present, she discovered a dozen Windrunner entering the training yard. Their laughter rang glee and brought refreshment to Lireesa who had just trained herself. Their youthfulness and friendships were what stroke Lireesa's heart to adapt quickly after she arrived on Azeroth. They thought they were the earliest and was stunned after noticing Lireesa waiting for the whole group. They were initially puzzled and almost thought they were being late. After confirmation from each other, they were indeed not late and regained their assurance.

"Greetings, milady," they saluted and bowed their heads slightly. Lireesa nodded kindly and return the salute, assuring them to ignore her presence. But the head was near them, it was impossible to even subconsciously regarded Lireesa as air, because this air itself was heavy enough to shorten their breath.

"Good morning! Sisters. Today's definitely going to be a busy day. Relax. We'll be training until you are extausted. So chill, everyone." Lireesa was in fact waiting for the things she had asked for from her maid before leaving the house. Not long after, the maid came in lifting the whiteboard and a pen similar to marker pen. Don't ask how these stuffs exist, because every elf here might not develop modern weapons but culturally and materials' invention never stopped, and some developments even kept pace with the modern era in Lireesa's previous life. She was also amazed and fortuitous to have convenience in what she was preparing to do next.

As more and more of her subordinates arrived, she became impatient at Sena and her daughter's Alleria, who she wondered if their hips hadn't even shifted since leaving the house. Now only a few remained and as the superior, despite having some apanages and exceptions, should be there. She was only frustrated after seeing so many sisters waiting for the rest, but discovered the deadline wasn't even closed. 20 minutes prior to the time, everyone had agreed upon, all her subordinates appeared and Lireesa now expected the closest two to show up. She wasn't blaming them anymore. Her officers were too eager studying her training.

Lireesa already knew two girls in her house, in fact, grasped her training drills in theoretical knowledge. So, she didn't wait for them and started her lecture. She pointed out drills after drills to the smallest details and reached the deadline unknowingly. Just then, Sena and Alleria emerged among the crowds and welcomed Lireesa's angry eyes. They were on time. She looked around the crowd and asked, "Understood? Overall understand is okay, right? Don't pay attention to small factors because it's useless unless you girls practice."

Only after confirming everyone understood, she moved on to one of the drills they were going to practice and explained again this time slowly. Lireesa then asked the whole crowd to vacate the area and implemented the drills team after team based on what she had already explicated. Luckily all her audience were veterans and easier to be trained compared to unknown recruits. She also felt fortunate all these sisters were willing to accept changes, because whenever such event like completely altering the way of thinking happened, radical ideas fought severely with conservatives. Such situation never occurred in her group as all of them believed change was never a bad idea; it was merely a when problem.

Beginning from the simplest drill, everyone succeeded on the first trial and when Lireesa decided to add chaos, they became the whole mess, destroying the entire foundations of the drills' requirements. She had to patiently display how it should appear again and comforted her subordinates. They were successful after a few attempts. Lireesa was satisfied with their progress, thanks to her unprecedented instruction and guidance. If Sena found out what Lireesa had in her mind, she would be inclined to smash Lireesa's head with a brick, just to prevent her friend from narcissism. In Windrunner house, she, alone, was already enough.

Sophisticated drills and maneuvers were also taught one-by-one, despite not every Windrunner here becoming adept; they were all aware of the general ideas. Naturally, these girls also made several mistakes and wasn't tolerated by Lireesa, because she also wanted to know how teacher felt whenever they admonished their students. The feeling was fantastical, and she realized why teachers loved reproaching.

"You! Yes, you. You're not supposed to withdraw first. Wait for your sister to set up her position, then it's your turn. Do you want to see her collapsed body?"

"Get out. Oh, my sunwell, my sister! What in the world!"

"Luckily! You're all veterans. You nearly shot your own sisters. I'm glad, we didn't use magic on the first day. I assure you, half of us went cold by our own if it was a real battle."

"You have been fighting alongside together for so long. Trust your comrades! They are your life-and-death partners."

Lireesa scolded severely as if her whole voice was waiting for them to create faults. Not one of them was spared from her harsh words. Of course, Lireesa did those on purpose, lest her subordinates became complacent from easily accomplishing these drills at the start of the training. She quickened the whole tempo by creating some chaos and the result was obvious. In spite of being battle-hardened and not in panic, everyone began to experience mistakes, although they were mostly tiny one, but such minute errors could jeopardize the whole team's survival. Lireesa disallowed them to underestimate or think lightly of these tactics. They seemed effortless in principle, but trial on the ground had now shown otherwise.

Seeing everyone was tired, Lireesa gave them some respite and received a strange look from her good sister, Sena. Sena never had seen Lireesa anxiously training Windrunner rangers, because most of these were presided solely by Sena as acting commander in chief. And she never dared to treat these strong women like Lireesa did. After all, they had fought alongside with each other since the last troll war. However, she understood the reason why Lireesa did. The time constraint was intolerant and they must act fast without hesitations. This training wouldn't last long, except for the first two days taught by Lireesa to these officers, who would then again serve as instructors for their subordinates in their teams in the remaining days.

Naturally, everyone had bitter expression and they groaned when Lireesa drove them again, but no one ever complaint, since they were at the forefront of the Windrunner's fight. Lireesa, during which, would punish her subordinates whenever they failed their task. She would slap their buttocks or pull their cheeks off or sexually harassed their chest. It worked wonderfully and they never made such mistakes again. Lireesa scorned military punishment in previous life and knew it wouldn't work here. First, elves were naturally disciplined and no need for these punishments. The penalties such as extra exercises or harsh whipping rendered no sense, as they were also a waste of time and Lireesa wasn't willing to see them got injured.

Hence, her brilliant ideas were shaming them in front of others and who could argue, it worked perfectly, reminding them deep even into their bones. And she also could indulge and soothe herself. On the other hand, others had bewildered appearance, why Lireesa acted totally odd and messed up with their bodies. Had their ladies inexplicably changed her orientation, their looks communicated. Together they glared at Sena, who was their leader grimly and Sena was also ruined. She couldn't prove her innocence; she was shot while lying down, losing the ability to get up and resist.

Everyone in Windrunner house knew what Sena usual character was and wondered if she had destroyed their Windrunner's matriarch and degrading Lireesa to her path. Sena wasn't a problem for them as they could defied jointly and caused her some headaches together. But, if Sena was replaced by Lireesa, their nightmare was around the corner. Lireesa was their Lord, what else could they do. Not to mention, she wasn't too much in her acts. They never felt reluctant, but obviously, this shouldn't be the road their matriarch had to walk.

Sena's spine now chilled as if she didn't explain, her life wouldn't be better in the manor. She glanced around to search for the source, which almost stopped her heart. She never perceived when Ella was around, studying them from the top. Her eyes glared at Sena with killing intent, asking for a justification, how she transformed Lireesa. Sena's mouth turned bitter and spread her hands to show her innocence. Unaware her childhood friend was now under trial by the public, Lireesa merrily roamed around her subordinates, continuing her superfluity.
