"Get out!" 

That word from Aldric had felt so out of phase with reality for Islinda that she had stood frozen with shock until his cold, twisted face had her fleeing out of his room. The whole world had ceased to exist for Islinda. Nothing ceased to matter anymore. 

Everything was blurry as Islinda ran through the corridor and she realized it was her tears clouding her vision. She blinked a few times to make out the way. Her head hurt and her ears rang and she realized she had run past her room without thinking. All she wanted to do was get away from Aldric; she didn't even know where she was headed anymore.
