Islinda could not tell which was more shocking, the fact that Madam Alice and Lillian walked into the room and caught her trying to get rid of Remy's body or they didn't seem to recognize Eli. He almost seemed invisible even though he was clearly in the room with them. What wretched sorcery did he use this time? 

The sound of a loud cry roused Islinda to reality and she saw Madam Alice had fallen to her feet, mourning her murdered daughter. While Islinda had wrapped Remy's body with the rug, it didn't cover the whole of her body and her legs and face were still visible. 

"What have you done?" Lillian asked, horrified and the blood drained from Islinda's face.
