The servant who brought Oriana in, explained to the man.
"What? A physician from Griven? This little whelp? Is your brain even working?" The man glared at Oriana. "How dare you come here, you cheat? How dare you pretend to be a physician? Leave before you get punished!"
Oriana gritted her teeth but she knew she could not create trouble with a noble from another kingdom. "Apologies, my lord. I am indeed a physician, albeit not yet finished with my apprenticeship. If you suspect that I lied to your people to intrude, then you misunderstand. I didn't come here on my own. I was called here by your people to treat this patient."
"No need to treat her. You can leave," the man growled.
Oriana looked at the man in disbelief. "My Lord, are you blind—I mean, can't you see she looks to be in too much pain? She might die if we don't treat her!"
"Let her die then. A good-for-nothing servant."
"My Lord!"
"Didn't you hear me? Leave or else—"
