To Be Hokage - Chapter 20 : That was a show ? For whom ?

The night was still young. It must have been a few hours for Kushina and the company. They continued jumping through the trees. They were going at a considerate speed. The borders of Fire country were just a couple hours away.

Kushina was seemingly in her thoughts when she stopped. The cause for this was one of her ANBUs in the scouting party stood before their way. While Kushina's mission was sudden, it didn't mean she wasn't provided with scouting measures. Apart from a team of ANBU travelling with her, there was an ANBU team travelling ahead of them by an hour, acting as scouts. And she was sure another team of ANBU was trailing behind her team. It wasn't as if they doubted her ability, but this was a shinobi world, and Kushina was their next leader, so Konoha was bound to provide her with foolproof security.

She immediately noticed Anbu's mask and questioned, "Goat, What has happened ?"

The ANBU was a male who bowed to her. "Kushina-sama, sorry for interrupting your journey. But we have encountered a situation." The Anbu answered. As Kushina motioned him to continue, he again opened his mouth "20 minutes ago, our team encountered A genin team of Konoha alongside their sensei surrounded by a group of Bandits. "

"Bandits? Here in our territory ?" Kushina asked

"Yes, Normally we wouldn't have interfered as normal bandits don't pose any threat to genin with their jounin in command. But we immediately recognised insignia they were carrying "

'Bandits carrying insignia, that's new', Kushina thought.

"They are known as Nakamura-kai, its a group of ronins and its mainly based in Kaminari no kuni (lightning country) and mizu ni kuni (water country). And they had Myoga-san, the Jounin of genin team almost cornered. Our team successfully subjugated the enemy and have even caught a couple of members alive. I was sent here to inform you. "

As Kushina took on the information provided, this was even new to her. "Are the genins ok ?" She asked.

"Hai, they are", The Goat masked ANBU replied.

"Good, good I would Like to take a look at the bandits." She replied. The Goat masked ANBU just nodded and started leading them in the direction of his team. Kushina nodded to neko, who nodded and started following her. At the same time, one of the ANBU from the team stopped here, waiting for the group of ANBUs behind them.

Soon they reached a clearing. A small tent was set up at one end, and there was even a small campfire. Around which three genins, Two boys and a girl aged somewhere 14-15, were sitting. She noticed they were quite roughed up. It seemed her ANBUs were really playing down the situation.

She decided to meet the genins first, signalling her team to stand by as she made her way to the genins. The genins and their jounin immediately noticed her and bowed to her, "Kushina-sama."

"At ease, I hope you all are alright?" seeing them nod, she smiled " You lot are not supposed to fight enemies like this at this stage. I will see to it how they infiltrate our territory. Will you tell me how you got in a fight with them?"

At this jounin teacher spoke, "We had no intention of engaging them with Kushina-sama, Nozoki here" he pointed at the boy who looked up " he was the first one who saw them when he was relieving himself. When I came to know, I spied on them and seeing their number and insignia I had decided to leave as soon as we could and inform the village. But a couple of their scouts saw our camp and soon we were surrounded. If not for ANBUs intervening, I don't think we would have survived."

Kushina nodded solemnly. "I see, well you are free to rest here for night, ANBUs have already sent an eagle to the village. I will see a couple of ANBUs from my team stay with you just as a precaution."

"Thank you Kushina-sama" The team bowed as Kushina approached the ANBU group who had kept prisoners.

"She is so kind", the girl in the group opened her mouth.

"And so sexy ", Nozuki added.

"Shut up you baka", the girl replied.

"You are jealous that you don't have her body", the other boy quipped as he dodged the swing from the girl. While the jounin leader just chuckled.

It was after two hours, Kushina and her team started their journey again towards Hotsprings country. It was decided the forward ANBU team and trailing ANBU team would remain there until a Konoha team came and collected the prisoners. The ANBU teams tried to stop her, but she didn't listen and put her foot down.

Kushina had got basic information from initial questioning from prisoners. Apparently, they were just a scouting party. Their main gang was still in Kaminari no Kuni. The group had planned to flee from Kaminari no Kuni and lay low in Hi no Kuni (Fire country) for a while. Apparently, Raikage had unleashed eight tails Jinchūriki 'Killer B' to eradicate them. And the group was looking for a place to hide.

'I will not get time to rest before meeting', Kushina thought, putting thoughts of ronin bandits out of her mind. They still had quite a distance to travel.

"Team increase speed", Kushina shouted as she released the chakra.

"Hai '' all that she heard from her companions and guards.

Kushina and her team arrived in the Hot Springs country's capital after a long and exhausting journey. The sun had already risen on the horizon. They reached the headquarters of Konoha forces in Hot Springs country.

"Kushina-sama", The Jounin leader of the corps stationed here bowed to her. Kushina immediately recognized him as Shitoryu Mabumi, an A-class shinobi. He was a tall man with an imposing figure and a stern expression.

She nodded at him and spoke, "Shitoryu-san, it's good to see you again."

"Kushina-sama, I hope your journey was not too difficult" as she nodded, he continued ", I have already sent a notification to Daimyo-sama's office about your arrival. The meeting should start in 3 hrs time."

"Good, Good I hope they aren't too surprised", a slight smirk formed on her face. Being a prankster at heart, she always liked these scenarios where the other person was caught by surprise.

The man just nodded and opened his mouth again. "I understand. You must be exhausted. Let me escort you to your quarters, and you can rest for a bit before we attend the meeting with the Daimyo."

Kushina nodded and replied, " that will be good, I will love to meet with shinobis, who are placed here later, maybe tomorrow once I have dealt with the situation here."

"Hai Kushina-sama, they all will be delighted to meet their next leader." The man answered.

Since Kushina had come here unannounced, she would be using one of the shinobi barracks used by Konoha forces stationed here. Throughout the way, she saw various shinobis and kunoichis immediately recognizing her and bowing to her.

Shitoryu led Kushina to a big and comfortable room in the Shinobi quarters, where she could rest and freshen up before the meeting. The room had all basic amenities, nothing fancy, and an attached washroom. It wasn't quite as grand as the room provided by Daimyo on the last visit. Though Kushina could figure out that it was definitely better than the rooms provided to the ordinary shinobis.

"Thank you Shitoryu-san, I will meet you in an hour and we will discuss today's agenda for the meeting." She turned and said to the Jounin leader.

"I will be waiting for you then Kushina-sama" The man bowed and turned towards his office again.

As the doors closed behind her, Kushina stretched her arms above her head. She was feeling slightly drowsy; having not recently gone on many long night missions, as such, she was feeling the effects. She looked out of the window, and the weather seemed quite pleasant today. Sighing, she pulled the curtains and unsealed her belongings.

She thought of opening Mikoto's package for a moment but quickly put that thought behind her. Then she looked at the outfits she had bought. Her other pair of shinobi clothes, A black version of her office outfit and a navy blue outfit combo. She pursued her wardrobe, considering what to wear for the meeting with the Hotsprings Daimyo. She settled on a navy blue one that seemed simple yet elegant.

Having just arrived from a long journey Kushina was tired and in need of refreshment. She decided to take a quick shower before the critical meeting with Ryuki-san. In the privacy of her quarters, she started to undress. She knew her clothes and body were reeked of sweat and grime and needed a good shower.

She started with her flak jacket, unzipping and sliding it off her shoulders. Once the flack jacket was thrown on the bed, she quickly removed her utility belt alongside the shuriken pouch and kunai holster. Next, she reached for the tight black pants she wore underneath, peeling them off to reveal her toned legs. They were a bit sticky due to sweat, and she felt cold air touch her damp legs. She closed her eyes at the pleasant feeling. She then pulled off her standard Konoha-issue blue t-shirt. Finally standing in the room in her just bindings and panties. She reached for the bindings on her breasts, unwrapping them one by one until they fell to the ground. Her generous bust now sprung open 'This feels so much better,' she thought.

Having undressed enough, she stepped into the washroom, not before picking up her towel and toiletries. The shower room was quite spacious. She was surprised that the room was modern, with sleek tiles and a large showerhead in the centre. There was a bench where she could sit and a small shelf where she could place her toiletries. She quickly discarded her panties and put her stuff on the bench. After the morning routine, she turned on the water, letting it warm up before stepping under the stream.

Kushina closed her eyes and let out a contented sigh as the water cascaded over her body, washing away the dirt and sweat from her long journey. She reached for the shampoo and lathered up her hair, working her fingers through the strands to remove any tangles. She repeated the process with the conditioner, leaving it in for a few minutes before rinsing it.

Next, she grabbed the body wash and lathered it on a loofah, scrubbing her skin until it was soft and smooth. She took her time, enjoying the sensation of the warm water and the scent of the soap. She felt the water to soothe her muscles and clear her mind. After she was done, she stepped out of the shower, feeling clean and refreshed, and proceeded to go for her towel. Wrapping herself in a fluffy white towel, and took a seat on the bench. She grabbed her hairdryer and began to dry her hair, running her fingers through the strands as she went.

'That felt so heavenly', she thought as she came out of the washroom with a towel wrapped around her body. She turned to the mirror provided in the room and looked at her reflection. Her hair was still wet from the shower, and her skin was free from any dust and grime. She smiled. "I look good."

Turning on what underwear to wear, she could hear Mikoto's cackling voice in her head to wear something flashy. She squashed that voice and selected a set of white bra and panties.

Satisfied with her choice, she quickly put on her dress and again looked at her reflection and smirked. "Well, let this get done", she spoke confidently.

She looked simple yet elegant in this dress, which hugged her curves in all the right places. Her hair was tied in a neat ponytail, and her feet were covered in matching high heels. It gave her a professional yet approachable look.

Coming outside her quarters, she acknowledged Cat, standing at her doors. "You and your team can rest neko. I will be going to the meeting now", she said.

Neco nodded. "Thank you, Kushina-sama."

Making her way to the headquarters here. By now, there was a lot of bustling now as compared to earlier. The doors of the office of the Jounin leader were immediately opened for her. Throughout the way, she was intrigued by stares from her shinobis and even civilians from the capital, which made her feel good.

"Kushina-sama", Shitoryu again bowed to her, not before staring at her.

"Let's discuss points for the meeting," Kushina spoke with a smile which almost turned into a smirk.

Kushina, alongside Shitoryu with four shinobis, started their way towards Daimyo's office. They would have normally jumped over roofs, but since Kushina was officially visiting as a diplomat, they decided to walk, taking the scenic route through the capital of hot springs village.

Kushina, having not seen the capital except on the move from far away on the last visit, couldn't help but feel intrigued by various shops. The same could be said about the people who were staring at the beautiful redhead followed by Konoha shinobis towards Daimyo's palace.

"Wow, who's that ? " One voice muttered.

"Is she a noble from another country? Though, why are shinobis following her ?" another voice spoke

"Is she one of Ryuki-sama's new girl" another spoke

Kushina almost wanted to jump and speak her mind at the last words.

She didn't hear the hushed tones that a couple of people spoke in one of the shops. "She is Konoha's next leader, they say daimyo-sama has blindly fallen for her." the first man said.

"Where did you hear that ?" the other man asked.

"Shh, don't raise your voice. I heard it last when I delivered some supplies in the palace. I even heard Daimyo-sama took her out on one and one dinner too on her last visit," the first man continued.

"Really? well who can blame Ryuki-sama,. I mean just look at her. I am sure he tapped her. " The second man replied with a lecherous grin.

"Don't be sure of that, one of my contacts in the palace who is one of the attendants of the palace told me daimyo sama returned alone after dinner with her and was in a bad mood that night." The first man informed me.

"Oh that's spicy. Ryuki-sama doesn't like to be denied, whether it be any materialistic thing or girls. She must be strong willed then to escape Ryuki-sama. " the second said in a surprised voice.

"Well she is to be the next leader of Konoha, one of the big five so she is bound to be headstrong. I hear her husband is also one of the leaders of Konoha and has quite a name for himself in the shinobi world. And guess what she has a kid around ten years old," The first man spoke.

"No way! She has a child that is ten years old? You gotta be a joking man" The second man gasped and looked at Kushina's group, now quite away from their position.

"Haha, that was my reaction as well, These kunoichis are really something." The first man grinned.

"Damn Man, She ticks all boxes for every man especially Ryuki-sama. She is hot, headstrong, married and almost impossible to obtain. Even more so she has a kid so she's a Milf. Man now I think these rumours about Daimyo -sama being infatuated with her are definitely true." The second man said.

"Well, since she'll be here for the next few days. We'll be hearing some spicy news sooner or later. And get to know if this is True or just a rumour." The first man grinned.

"Haha, keep me informed, I bet this time Ryuki-sama beds her. " the second man spoke.

Reaching the palace compound, the guards quickly allowed them in. And this time, Kushina felt she had entered a different place. The area outside and inside of the daimyo's residence was quite different, don't get her wrong, it wasn't that outside the compound was unclean or poor. It was way better than Konoha's streets on an average day, but coming inside the compound now, she could easily compare the two areas. 'How much money do these nobles spend on their compound and its maintenance' she thought.

Her thoughts were stopped as Ryuki-san, The Daimyo of this country, was standing outside his office building waiting for her group. He was surrounded by a group of men who must be his 'nobles and ministers'. She thought she had been introduced to many of them on her last visit, but she didn't bother remembering their names. She also noticed the large dark-skinned man standing beside the daimyo, who was also introduced to her last time as the head of security for the daimyo. However, she didn't remember his name either. 'I will have to try to focus and remember names as well, it's good that I don't have to meet each one of them. ' she thought.

Ryuki Ichinose, the Daimyo of this village, was surprised. No, that word didn't do justice. He was flabbergasted. They had wanted a reaction from Konoha, but they hadn't expected such a swift response either. This had almost caught him without pants. But things were not as bad as they seemed. While they wanted Konoha to react. But it responded much more quickly than anticipated. His primary purpose for causing a ruckus was to have another meeting with Konoha, and if it turned out to be him meeting that beautiful redhead, then it was a plus. So when he received the news about Kushina's visit this morning, he was caught by surprise.

On the one hand, he, along with his friend and head of security Yumeki Satoru had secretly sent a message to Kumogakure for a proposal for a new trade deal. The whole idea of involving Kumogakure was Yumeki's idea. It was Yumeki who had secretly sent messages to all of his nobles and subtly instigated them. Yumeki didn't like Konoha very much. He had a special place for Kushina in his heart, or 'redhead cocky bitch' Yumeki called her in their private meetings. While he had no love for any great village, the way Konoha had all but forced him to sign an agreement with them was humiliating for Ryuki. Add to the salt the redhead bitch had acted high and mighty in her last visit. So he had agreed to Yumeki's plan, and it seemed it had turned out positive despite being fast and not giving them time for more 'preparations.'

And given her coming unannounced as if Konoha or she owned them was enough to evaporate any regret he was supposed to have for causing this ruckus. Seeing her walking confidently with long strides, he couldn't help but admire her. As she came closer, he noticed she had slight modifications to her outfit from the last time around. She still wore those fancy lady outfits that were growing popular among women these days. But he immediately noticed the lack of pantyhose that she used to wear in the last meeting. He couldn't help but grin internally.

"Kushina-san, what a surprise to see you here. You should have sent a message. I would have opened the doors of my home for you. You are still welcome to stay here in one of my guest quarters " Ryuki spoke as Kushina's group neared them.

"Thank you Ryuki-dono, But the situation surprised me as well. I am here as an acting ambassador for Konoha.I was sent here due to an urgent situation regarding the deal our country agreed on. We had heard there were some tensions brewing here. We want to find a way to work together and put an end to the conflict,.We don't want our closest ally to be discontented afterall. " Kushina replied coolly.

"Well, I thank you for your presence then. Truth be told, my nobles and ministers are not that happy about the latest agreement between our villages. They are paranoid you see, one of the five great nations, forcing a small nation like us to choose their sides. They are also discontented that the deal was signed without involving them. This doesn't paint a good picture. Hope you understand. Regardless, I believe we can find a solution that can quell their paranoia and benefit both our villages." Ryuki spoke, not really trying to hide the predicament.

"I hope so. Konoha values its relationship with Hotsprings, and we want to see it grow stronger." Kushina added.

"Well, let's go Inside, Kushina-san, " Daimyo beckoned her.

She obliged, walking beside him. The building was the same one where they had signed the agreement last time. He took her to the first floor, where the meeting room was located.

As she walked into the meeting room, she could feel the eyes of the nobles and ministers on her. She knew that her appearance was unconventional for a diplomatic meeting. Still, she had decided that it was important to make an impression. She walked with purpose and confidence, her head held high.

The meeting was held in a traditional Japanese-style room, with tatami mats covering the floor and shoji paper doors lining the walls. The room was decorated with beautiful paintings and intricate wood carvings, giving it an air of elegance and refinement. There were a few big pictures on the walls. They would definitely be those of previous Daimyos or someone related to the Daimyo.

While they moved, Ryuki couldn't help but notice how beautiful Kushina looked in this outfit. Her hair was neatly styled, and her clothes fit her curves perfectly. He felt a twinge of attraction and lust, but he pushed it aside. He had to remain professional, especially since they were in the middle of an important meeting. No matter how much he wanted to fuck the shit out of her.

He saw from the sidelines and his guard also eying her, though, from his expression, he was angrier. It seemed his friend still remembered his humiliation at her hands. Well, anyone would be. It added more fuel to his friend's anger that Kushina didn't even recognise the man she had beaten in the past. And it seemed she had overlooked him today as well.

Finally, as they all entered the room with only Shitoryu accompanying Kushina inside, The rest of the Konoha shinobi stood outside at the gates. The same could be said about Yumeki, who also stood at the entrance.

Inside the room, Kushina noticed every minister and noble had taken a position and were standing.

Ryuki gestured towards the other nobles and ministers in the room. "Please, allow me to introduce you to everyone." he said to Kushina.

He walked Kushina around the room, introducing her to each person by name. Kushina took note of their names and titles, trying her best to remember them all. 'I hope I can remember their names ', she thought as she politely greeted everyone.

"Well, that's all for introductions", Ryuki finally finished, and Kushina relaxed a bit.

And then, like everyone, Kushina and Shitoryu sat in seiza position, their legs folded beneath them. Ryuki made sure to sit next to Kushina. A few servants entered as they placed some refreshments on the small table.

"My friends, nobles and my ministers, I know a lot of you have some disagreement with me regarding our latest agreement with Konoha. And we all know whatever we might do, we can't make changes in the agreement without involving Konoha into the matter." As he said, this Kushina saw a few nobles gritting their teeth. "It's good that Konoha wants to solve the problem so early, and they were compensating enough to have sent Kushina-san here. I welcome Kushina-san again to Hotsprings country." Ryuki started.

"Thank you Ryuki-dono, While there may be differences between us regarding agrement. I'm here to listen to all those misgivings and possibly find a solution to those." Kushina said

One of the men sitting on the left row, Kushina, recognised him as minister of trade for Daimyo and opened his mouth. "We're glad to have you here, Kushina-san. As you know, there have been some tensions between our nations over the past few months. We have numerous complaints about the trade routes being ambushed by bandits and local raiders. We have already lost quite a few exotic trades to the raiders and bandits. Some of our traders are refusing to continue their business here due to this reason. Where are our protection against them? While they provide security to trades coming from Konoha route they do nothing on the other routes. I was under the impression that Konoha would be protecting the routes but all the reports indicate that the routes are left unsupervised."

"Thank you, minister. We believe that communication and cooperation are key to resolving any conflict. We want to work together to find a solution that benefits both our nations. Currently, most of our forces have been concentrated around the borders to guard them from any incoming threats. We still have our troops patrolling the routes but the numbers have been decreased for reasons I already mentioned. As of now, our priority has been to secure the borders as the threat from a rival nation is greater than some random bandits and occasional raids." Kushina answered. She could see the minister seething in his seat at her words, She was here from Konoha not to sooth the nobles. "But I understand that the threat of bandits is still a problem as it seems they have taken advantage of our reduced numbers of patrols. I will speak with the Hokage about increasing the number of troops for patrols and to prioritise the routes taken by the traders." She added.

Then a man in his late thirties with a big belly spoke. She recognised him as one of the nobles named Takamura fired. " We feel that Konoha has been treating us like a colony. You took our lord and forced him to agree to a deal without any negotiations or getting us involved. The number of troops stationed here has also been increased as if to intimidate us and keep us from vocalising our dissatisfaction. And these are just a few things to name. We want to be treated as equals, not as subjects." Kushina could feel anger in his tone.

"I understand your concerns, and I assure you that Konoha does not see Hotsprings as a colony. As I already said before, we have been concentrating most of our forces around the borders. And this country shares borders with a rival nation. The additional troops are to ensure extra protection in the event of an invasion. They are not here to oppress you or your people. We want to have a mutually beneficial relationship with your nation, based on respect and trust afterall" She replied in a soothing tone.

At this, another minister, this one was the minister of the law, said, "We've received an offer from Kumogakure. They're offering us free trade deals and generous shares with higher profit margins. They have even offered to share some of their newly invented technologies and have promised us top level protection by sending his elite troops. Compared to the deal we currently have with Konoha, it seems more appealing and better for us."

"I see. The only reason why you are getting a "better" deal is because this country happens to grow rare medicinal herbs exclusive to its climate and environment. Still, they are useless to you as you have no ability to process them or use them effectively without support from us. I have no doubt that Kumo wants to use the herbs to replicate our success in turning them into medicines.Well, they will fail at that and if you had agreed to their deal, you would have lost access to the medicines as well. I believe you are aware of the fact that Kumogakure has been pushing and expanding their borders for the past two years. Small nations around them have been annexed or are under their rule. I wouldn't trust them if I were you. Especially after they learn that they cannot replicate our success with the herbs. This is just a ploy by them to annex this country." Kushina replied.

"But why is there an exclusivity clause? Can't we trade with both villages independently" another noble spoke.

'Ugh, What is with these silly questions, don't they know these points were already in the signed deal?' she thought before speaking.

"Well, given our nations are allies and Kumo is not and as per agreement it's not just you who cant sign deals with Kumo. It applies to us as well. We also can't sign any deal with the neighbouring village without informing you. So see we are equal here. And this is still the best option for both of our nations. We're willing to negotiate and make adjustments to the agreement, to make it more appealing to you" She stated.

This seemed to placate a few of the nobles, but another one spoke, "But what about the Konoha shinobis creating problems for our people? They have been doing whatever they like without any consequences. There have been reports about them terrorising the locals, disrupting business, even harassing the women. While you may have acted, This problem has not gone away and still persists. It feels less like a protection for us and more about our country being used as a place to dump troops for your own protection. We are better off without your shinobi occupying our precious land if our people have to suffer due to their actions. It feels like we are being used."

" I assure you Konoha is not using you. The shinobi stationed here are all warriors capable of protecting this country from an invasion. While there may be some who have lost their discipline, they can be looked upon. I will discuss with the captains to check and sort out the troublemakers and will personally oversee the process. Besides, we also send you quite a generous sum for using this country's soil. Konoha shinobis aren't just protecting us but you also. If there were no troops stationed here, this country would have already been targeted by multiple nations both small and big. And without our deal we wouldn't be able to help you. You know what war is like, don't you ?" She added a lingering threat in a stern voice, then quickly added in a softer tone, " We believe that by working together, we can ensure the safety of our people."

'Why this bitch? Is she threatening us? We are only cooperating because you made me sign the deal, and you're powerful. ' Ryuki thought

The discussion continued for several hours, with both sides offering their perspectives and suggestions throughout the meeting. Ryuki consistently eyed her. He was intrigued by her way of handling things here and couldn't help but steal glances at her with his thoughts filled with lust and anger. He was waiting for her to falter, but she was doing good so far.

And Kushina seems to be getting frustrated by non-ending questions from the council.

As the meeting continued, she couldn't help but feel a bit uncomfortable in her tight pencil skirt. It was definitely not meant for seating like this for long hours. Unbeknownst to her, the skirt had ridden up a bit, revealing a bit more of her shapely thighs than she intended.

This had an effect as many men started to eye her. 'Oh my, Kushina-san's skirt has ridden up a bit. She's quite a catch, isn't she?' One of the men thought.

Kushina tried to maintain her composure, but she couldn't shake the feeling that some of the nobles were eyeing her inappropriately. She shifted in her position, hoping to adjust her skirt without drawing too much attention to herself.

Despite the distraction, the meeting continued on. Kushina and Shitoryu listened attentively as the Daimyo's ministers and his nobles presented their concerns and requests which turned sillier as time went on.

Kushina felt her headache and tiredness growing as the day went on. Her lack of sleep and the stress of the meeting were taking their toll on her. She tried to remain alert and attentive, but her mind kept drifting off, and she found herself zoning out during some of the discussions.

Finally, after several hours of intense negotiations, the Daimyo called for a lunch break. Kushina was grateful for the chance to rest and recuperate. She walked out of the meeting room, taking deep breaths of fresh air to clear her head.

Outside the room, Yumeki Satoru, the head of security and Daimyo's friend, was standing and making small talk with shinobis. He remembered how angry he had been when that redhead cocky bitch didn't even recognize him and even had the gall to act bitchy in front of the leader of this country. But somehow, he had managed to get a message through, and they had sent people to set a 'trade ' deal.

He was surprised to see the redhead but was more than glad she had come. While his plans might not be fully completed, something was still salvageable. He grinned at that prospect.

He had tried getting information about Kushina from Konoha shinobis. Still, all he got so far was that she was headstrong and stubborn. He had subtly tried to probe the shinobis, asking about her schedule, routines, and anything they knew about her.

He even went so far as to successfully seduce a kunoichi for information on her. While Kunoichi was a nice fuck. But they had just basic information. And it seemed kunoichis worshipped Kushina. He understood he would have to get in touch with some higher-rank shinobis to get more details.

So here he was, standing with that bitch's guards. Currently, he was with two of them at the sides, having left guard duties to two other shinobis and a couple of his assistants.

"So you're telling me you all were also caught off guard by Kushina-san's arrival ?" Yumeki asked.

"Yeah, man, she just showed up. I think only Shitoryu-san was in the loop about the news of her arrival", The shinobi named Kaito spoke. "If I had known, I would have at least shaved and dressed in a cleaner uniform", he continued.

"Not that Kushina-sama cares, as long as we don't fuck up in our duties ", the second shinobi named Chiruku replied.

"Man, that must be harsh seeing your boss showing up suddenly", Yumeki spoke casually.

"Well It's not that bad, It is just a diplomatic mission. We are here just for show. Besides, Kushina-sama travelled all night to come here for this meeting. We are the least of her worries." Kaito replied.

"Say Kaito-san, Kushina-san is very beautiful. I'm sure she also has many admirers among you shinobis, right ?" Yumeki changed the topic quietly, noting news about her travelling all night.

"You think I will fail ?" Yumeki asked, raising his eyebrows.

"No, no, definitely not, You should definitely go for it", Chiruku said 'It will be fun to see him being crushed by Kushina-sama.' He thought as he covertly looked at Kaito, who also nodded at his words. Both of them eye-smiled at each other.

As the men continued to talk, the meeting room doors opened.

"That it will be", Chiruku concurred.

They Bowed as Kushina, followed by Shitoryu, came out of the meeting hall. They dutifully walked behind them as Shitoryu led Kushina to one of the VIP rooms.

"So what do you think of the discussion until now Kushina-sama?" Shitoryu asked.

During the lunch break, Kushina ate a light meal and tried to relax. She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths, trying to shake off her headache and clear her mind. She had discussed a few points with Shitoryu, but he also had nothing to add.

After lunch, the negotiations resumed, and Kushina struggled to keep up. She felt her eyelids growing heavy and had to fight to stay awake. She took sips of water and tried to focus on the discussion. Still, her exhaustion was making it difficult, and it was doubly difficult as Noble and the ministers had a dispute among themselves.

It had been an hour after lunch Kushina guessed it would have been around three in the afternoon. The negotiations between Konoha and the Hotsprings nobles and ministers seemed to be going nowhere. It was here the daimyo opened his mouth, stopping the debate between two of his associates discussing bringing Konoha shinobis to their laws as long as they worked here.

"Thank you, everyone, for your time and efforts, Especially you, Kushina-san, coming here all the way from Konoha," he said, rising from his seat. "It seems that we are still far from reaching an agreement on our issues, but I am sure we will find a way to resolve them in due course. In the meantime, I would like to invite you and your fellow Konoha shinobi to a dinner party tonight. Of course, every one of my esteemed friends, nobles and ministers is also invited to join the feast. I have instructed my staff to prepare a sumptuous feast in your honour."

Kushina's heart sank as she heard the daimyo's words. She had thought the meeting would reach some resolution today. She had planned for a good sleep this evening, but it seemed for nought. All she wanted was a few hours of rest and sleep before returning to Konoha. But that plan seemed to have flushed down the gutter.

"Thank you, Daimyo-sama," she said, trying to hide her disappointment. She really didn't want to attend a formal dinner, but it was an official invite. She knew she had no choice but to attend the dinner party and try to represent Konoha as best she could.

With that, she bowed and left the meeting room, feeling exhausted and drained. She knew that she would have to find a way to recharge her energy and her spirits before the evening's festivities began.

The nobles and ministers started to filter out of the room, and as Kushina also started to make her way out of her room, she heard the daimyo call her. "Kushina-san", she stopped near the doors.

She turned as she saw the daimyo approaching her "Kushina-san", he spoke again. She looked at Shitoryu, who nodded and left towards the doors waiting with other shinobis.

"Thank you again for being patient with my associates. I know they can be a mouthful and sometimes don't know how the world really works. But they have a following and power here, so I can't outright shut them up," Ryuki spoke apologetically. By now, all Noble and ministers had gone out. Kushina was surprised by his admission, and she could imagine herself in his situation.

"No need to thank me, Ryuki-san, It's not an easy job to lead a country, and I understand that sometimes disagreements can occur." She spoke with a smile.

"Thank you, I'm glad you didnt take offence to the behaviour of my associates. I will try to quell some of their misgivings too. It's just that they think I signed the agreement with Konoha under pressure so they are acting like that. They think I'm a weak leader." Daimyo continued.

Kushina's eyes widened upon hearing that. "Oh, now I understand, But you are doing a good job. I hope all disagreements are resolved. It will be best for our villages," she said.

"I hope so too, Well it's one of the reasons I called dinner tonight." Daimyo said

Kushina nodded as she noticed someone walking into the room. It was Daimyo's Guard captain. 'Yumiko or something, I don't remember,' she thought.

Yumeki spoke something in Daimyo's ear, Kushina couldn't hear it, but she did see daimyo raising his eyes. After a few moments, the daimyo again opened his mouth. "Kushina-san, You must be tired after the journey and immediate meeting after."

She just nodded and replied "Yes, Ryuki-san, Saindaime-sama deemed this a high priority. It's how much Konoha values its relation with this village."

"Well then, you really must be cursing me for setting dinner tonight. If you want, I could schedule it for tomorrow", Ryuki blurted.

"No, no, it's not an issue, we are shinobis. And I think I can still go for the next few days if required," She lied, 'I could go for the next ten days without sleep if it was a fight or war, but this damn meeting has me defeated.' she thought.

"Really, you have quite a stamina then, If I had been in your place I would have already crumbled to fatigue after that long travel", he spoke in a surprised tone, then continued, "Well, at least let me offer you my finest onsen services here", He offered. Initially, Ryuki's face fell slightly at her refusal, but he quickly recovered as he internally grinned, having caught her little hesitation and offered again, "Kushina-san, I must insist that you take advantage of the premier hot springs services here. The walls were adorned with intricate carvings and ornate decorations. There was a lone entrance at which a woman was seated. After Kushina removed her sandals and put them on a shoe stand, Akari opened the doors. Kushina could immediately feel the scent and aroma coming from inside. The door closes behind her as Kushina almost gasps at the vast expanse before her. This was nothing like the onsen she had last seen.

Kushina only nodded, awestruck by the sheer size of the space. The onsen is cavernous, with high ceilings and mirrored walls on two opposite sides, creating a sense of endless space. In the centre of the onsen is a large, deep pool of crystal-clear water surrounded by smooth, polished stones. The pool is surrounded by a wide wooden deck, which is lined with plush, comfortable loungers and fluffy towels.

"This is our main onsen here. The water is naturally heated by geothermal energy and is really soothing at a relaxing temperature that is perfect for soaking. It is also mixed with a few of our rare herbs for utmost relaxation and rejuvenation. " Akari spoke, pointing at the main onsen as they walked on cobblestones.

Akari took Kushina to a changing area which is adjacent to the pool. It featured wooden lockers and benches, as well as private changing rooms. The ground of the changing area is decorated in soothing earth tones, with soft lighting and natural textures that create a calming, serene atmosphere.

"This is Changing area. You could either use private changing rooms or change here as no one else is here." She then pointed at plush towels and even a hairdryer and toiletries in racks." As VIP service, we provide you with everything you require here."

Of course, it is not as best as The Saikuzi hotel, but it's on the other side of the capital, and that place has only beat this place because they provide more facilities." Akari added

Kushina nodded, not really understanding what could have beat this place .

Akari continued, "Well, that's the introduction. But I assure you our services will leave this intro to dust., Now, please strip. I will bring some attendants and prepare for a massage." Akari said as if it was a regular thing.
