Niko didn't react on poking, so Cael thought that physically picking him up and bringing him down was in truth a good idea. It proved correct—on land the diviner opened his eyes and reacted to his surroundings.

But he fully returned to his more coherent self only when the group returned to Tarek's house.

"The voices from the stars grew louder when I went higher," Niko explained to all the concerned people. "I thought I could try to discern what they are saying if I ingest a certain herb that enhances mental sensitivity… And it did make them louder, but also actually harder to discern." He clicked his tongue. "We have to rise much higher. Oh, and good to see you back. Maybe you can stop that brewing war before it throws a stone in my plans."
