Trick 122: Mini Avengers Battle

Ace returned to Sharon's house, going to Sharon's room.

He sat on the edge of the bed and his cloak flew to a little hook as Ace took off his shirt, rubbing his eyes.

Sharon hugged him from behind, rubbing his arms as she said "Are you alright, love?" Ace sighed and took his shoes off, saying "Feel weird." Sharon kissed his shoulder and rested her chin on it, saying "Tell me."

Ace frowned and said "If you saw someone's possible future and they did something that could put countless lives in danger, would you arrest that person?" Sharon tilted her head and asked "How long?" Ace replied with pursed lips "I don't know, maybe 10? 15?"

Sharon giggled and said "I'd put a bullet in 'em and forget about it." Ace rolled his eyes and Sharon laughed, "I'm kidding! I'm kidding, come here." as she kissed his neck, continuing "If I knew, that this person could potentially be a super terrorist, but they hadn't done anything yet…"

She hummed softly and ran her hands along his arms, "I'd probably set up a separate crew to keep tabs on them 24/7. The moment they step outta line, bag 'em." Ace snorted and turned his head, saying "Steve vouched for 'em." Sharon pursed her lips "Oh my. Big boy scared of Uncle Steve?"

Ace chuckled and kissed her, saying "He said he'll keep a close eye on the perp." Sharon giggled "The perp? Would you like to join the CIA, youngster?" as she pulled him into bed, resting her head on his chest.

She closed her eyes and caressed him gently, saying "Nat asked if I was pregnant." Ace stroked her hair with his eyes closed, replying "I was gonna ask too." She sighed "Yeah, it's the neighbor. Sorry."

Ace chuckled and said "Steve said it. Probably to calm the future super terrorist down. Make her think I'm just overreacting." She pouted, "He could've asked me, maybe I am?" Ace asked "Are you??" as he opened one eye, she looked up at him and closed his eye with her finger, replying "Not yet."

Ace let out a breath and Sharon stroked his neck whispering gently "It's getting worse." he grabbed her hand and kissed it, replying "It's nothing. Been there for years." she sighed lightly, Ace stroked her hair, saying "I'll get it looked at again."

She smiled and kissed his chest, saying "Good boy." Ace snorted in amusement, saying "Woof." Sharon giggled and curled up, intertwining her legs with his as she moved her head to his shoulder, "Goodnight, love." Ace kissed her forehead, "Mmm." Before falling asleep.

However it wasn't long until Ace was back at Avengers HQ…

He was sitting at a table, with his cloak on of course, tapping on the table as a man spoke. It was a younger guy, the secretary of Defense apparently…

Ace was just bored at this point, he tapped on the table and little people appeared. Little Avengers.

Two chose teams and started fighting on the table as Ace watched. Tony turned to the fight and rested his cheek on his palm as he watched as well. Sam looked at the fight and whispered "Come on, lil me…"

Ace curled his lips and lil Sam landed on the ground, spreading his arms out. Lil Rhodey landed on the ground and got out of his suit as they started a fist fight. Rhodey looked over and raised a brow, suddenly Lil Rhodey got the upperhand!

Rhodey clenched a fist and muttered "Yes!" Sam looked over and snorted. Rhodey looked at him and pointed at the fight, shrugging. Sam clicked his tongue and looked back as the Secretary of Defense cleared his throat, "Cloak."

Ace ignored him as Vision entered the fight!

By now everyone was paying attention to the little fight, Tony smashed his fist on the table, saying out loud "This is bullshit! How does Cap beat me? Honestly!" Steve looked at him saying "Its just the way things go, Tony. Plus it's only a magic recreation…" Tony nodded, "Right. Not factual-" However Steve cleared his throat, looking away as he added quickly "Strangely realistic though."

Tony was stunned and the Secretary of Defense said with a frown "This is very important! The Sokovia Accords affect every Super Individual on the planet!" Natasha looked at herself getting thrown around like a ragdoll and frowned, turning to the accords, saying "Are you saying we'll be monitored?"

Pietro looked at himself basically playing Tennis with himself using Romanoff's body, just speechless.

The Secretary nodded and said "Of course. The Avengers will be under the UN as well as need authorization to move out. Of course, every superpowered being will have to register with the UN…"

Everyone paused and looked at Ace, who frowned, saying "Excuse you?" The Secretary nodded and explained "It has been proven through various events that the Avengers, while saving the world many times, cannot be trusted to be an independent Organization anymore. All Superbeings will be monitored and registered, or face the consequences."

Steve asked "And the Secret Identities?" The Secretary replied simply "We believe the Governing bodies of the world need to know who the team is comprised of as well as the powers they can muster to assess threats in a calculated and reasonable matter. If Cloak is not needed at an event, he will not be allowed to mobilize."

Ace asked "So, basically, I have to ask for permission to go anywhere?" The Secretary held out his hand, saying "Not so strict. Only to mobilize on threats and utilize your powers. Your daily goings on is not something the UN cares about at this moment." Ace stared at the Secretary and replied "I see."

The Secretary shrugged, "At the end of the day, you all don't have a choice. The UN has come to an agreement. Those who do not sign the Sokovia Accords and do not conform with its laws, will be identified as criminals marked for apprehension. Unless you want to spend the rest of your life behind bars, it is in your best interest to agree."

Ace nodded and replied "Mhm." the Secretary nodded and turned to the rest, Steve said "I think the Avengers have made the world a safer place." The Secretary nodded, "You have. However, the destruction you leave behind is no longer tolerable in the eyes of the people. Can you tell me where Thor and Banner are right now, Captain?"

Ace muttered "Probably Asgard?" Steve pointed his thumb behind him at Ace, saying "Exactly. Asgard." Rhodey added with confusion "I also find it awkward, with all do respect, Secretary. Enforcing laws on individuals of another Planet, Royalty at that, is the UN prepared for backlash?"

The Secretary fixed his tie, explaining "Thor operates as an ambassador of Asgard, therefore, on foreign soil, he must act in accordance with the law. The rules do not change for him. And from my point of view, 2 megaton nukes running around without supervision isn't very wise."

Ace asked "So you would neutralize a threat before it was even a threat? I've learned recently that that's not the wisest means of action." Steve looked at him and Ace nodded in return. Steve smiled and snorted, turning back to the Secretary who replied simply "It is in everyone's best interest to keep a leash on potential threats. Better safe than sorry."

Ace remarked "Sounds like a bad plan." The Secretary retorted "The only one for all of you. Anyway, the UN is meeting in Vienna in 5 days to ratify the accords. Talk it over." Natasha asked "And if we come to a conclusion you don't like?"

The Secretary smiled, "Then you retire." before he walked out the meeting room, leaving the Avengers in silence.
