Just as Gu Mei was about to respond to Chu He, Gu Qingcheng's voice came from the screen, drawing her attention.

On the screen, Gu Qingcheng stood under the camera, staring straight at it. As their eyes met, Gu Mei felt a chill down her spine and a sense of dread in her heart.

Gu Qingcheng's gaze was icy cold and sharp like a knife, piercing her heart as if to shatter it.

"B*tch," she spat with hatred. "Someday, I will gouge out Gu Qingcheng's eyes and feed them to the dogs."

Chu He, looking at Gu Qingcheng, felt a sense of satisfaction mixed with fear from staring into Gu Qingcheng's eyes.

"You said you couldn't kill Gu Qingcheng, right? Then you definitely can't gouge out her eyes," Chu He reminded Gu Mei. "Give me a definitive answer, can you kill Gu Qingcheng or not?"

"I can't," Gu Mei confirmed to Chu He. "Like I said, if I could have killed Gu Qingcheng, I would have done it long ago."
