{AGE: 5}
The sun hung high in the azure sky, casting a warm embrace upon the sprawling flower farm where my parents and I labored. We toiled amid the colorful symphony of blossoms, each one a testament to our dedication.
The gentle breeze danced among the petals, carrying with it the subtle perfume that transformed our work into an art form. Yet, beyond the serene beauty of the landscape, a secret realm lay hidden within me, a realm of magic and possibilities waiting to be explored.
"Dammit ...normally I didn't like working, guess this is my punishment for my past life laziness," I muttered inwardly.
As the sun's golden rays cascaded through the leaves, I found myself amidst an inner exploration, a pursuit that went beyond plucking petals or nourishing stems.
Seated beneath the shade of an ancient oak tree during our break, I unfolded a new chapter in my journey—the chapter of magic refinement. A small book titled "Mana Refinement" lay open before me.
"I picked this from the Aldevia Library on my fifth birthday last month."
Its delicate pages held the secrets of refining my body with mana, cleansing it of impurities and harmonizing it with the natural world.
"I learnt that to truly be able to use mana your body must be cleansed of all impurities, just like your outer body needs a bath so do your mana channels.
Mana channels weren't available in my past life, but the more I look at this diagram, the more I believe it." I thought as I stared at the anatomy of the human body as different veins and arteries carrying blood were illustrated.
Turns out the Mana Channels are found slightly beneath the Arteries almost linked.
With a focused mind, I followed the instructions meticulously. I envisioned mana as a purifying current flowing through me, cleansing my inner channels. Each breath carried newfound energy, a harmonious connection between my essence and the world's magic. Over time, I could feel my body becoming a conduit, a vessel for mana's potential.
"Every step brings me closer to mastering my connection with mana, I've been doing this since the age of 1" I thought, the words a quiet dialogue with myself.
My exploration continued as I ventured into the pages of "Mysteries of Elemental Magic: Unleashing the Power of Earth and Fire." This book was a treasure trove of knowledge, revealing the intricacies of Pyrokinesis and Terrakinesis. It was a symphony of fire and earth, an orchestration of elements waiting for a conductor to weave them together into a harmonious composition.
The book's cover depicted flames dancing with the solidity of earth, a promise of the incredible fusion I was destined to unlock. With anticipation and a dash of trepidation, I traced my fingers over the pages, absorbing the illustrations and incantations that could reshape reality. As I whispered the ancient words under my breath, the energy of fire magic swirled around me, tingling against my skin like a warm embrace.
"Fire and earth, separate yet interwoven. Can I bridge the gap and command their fusion?" My thoughts danced like flames as I delved into the book's teachings.
With each incantation, my fingers came alive, tingling with the fiery magic that pulsed within me.
As if guided by an innate knowledge, I turned to the chapter on Terrakinesis. The earth beneath me seemed to answer my call, its stability and vitality reaching out to embrace me. The words on the page resonated with my very bones, as if the earth itself were teaching me its secrets.
"Earth, steady and unwavering. Can I tap into its ancient strength and meld it with my own?" The dialogue within my mind mirrored the excitement and curiosity surging through my veins.
"Over the past year I've taken a liking to earth and fire and have been studying and practicing them in intervals.
Meh, Aerokinesis {AIR} and Hydrokinesis {WATER} will come later." I said.
Curiosity stoked the embers of my determination. Could I merge the power of fire and earth, fusing them into something new? With bated breath, I closed my eyes and focused on the energies swirling within me. Slowly, deliberately, I drew forth a small rock from the ground, molding it into a shape reminiscent of a spinning drill.
As my fingertips brushed the rock, I conjured flames from my wellspring of fire magic. The sensation was exhilarating—a mingling of warmth and solidity, a dance between fire's wild energy and earth's unyielding stability. The fusion happened effortlessly, as if the elements themselves recognized the kinship between them. Flames danced across the rock's surface, a mesmerizing tapestry of light and heat.
"Damn, this looks fire , not gonna lie," I said, smiling with excitement.
"They're intertwining, collaborating in a dance only I can see. Can I truly wield this power?" The dialogue within me was a mixture of awe and cautious excitement.
With a deep breath, I released the spinning rock-drill, a masterpiece of fused elemental energies.
It soared through the air, flames leaving a fiery trail in its wake. The beauty and strength of this fusion filled me with wonder, but had I underestimated the sheer force of this creation?
"The beauty of it, the sheer power... but have I considered the consequences?" My internal discourse echoed my growing realization of the potential impact.
The spinning rock-drill collided with a nearby tree, a collision that reverberated through the air. In an instant, the tree exploded in a fiery burst, sparks and embers scattering like stars set free. The deafening sound rent the calm of the flower farm, a stark reminder of the power I had unleashed.
"Holy shi....."I alleged.
My heart raced as the aftermath unfolded before me, and I turned to see my parents' stunned expressions as they approached the oak tree with a basket in their hands.
Their eyes were wide, their faces mirroring a mix of shock, awe, and concern. My five-year-old self had just demonstrated intermediate magic, creating a spectacular blend of fire and earth. But what truly surprised them was the vast pool of mana I had unknowingly stored within my young body.
Amid the chaos, my parents rushed over, their eyes full of equal parts astonishment and worry.
"Did you see that?" my mother whispered to my father, her voice a mix of disbelief and humor.
Michael nodded, his jaw slightly agape. "I did, but I also saw that tree practically jump out of the way!"
I couldn't help but chuckle at their reaction. "Well, I guess I got a bit carried away," I admitted sheepishly, scratching the back of my head.
My mother's concern shifted to a bemused smile. "Carried away? You practically turned that tree into a firework!"
My father joined in, his laughter rumbling like distant thunder. "Son, I think we've got ourselves a budding mage here."
As my parents shared a good-natured laugh, my heart warmed. Their support and humor were like balm for my earlier worries. With a grin, I glanced at the smoldering tree and the swirling embers, my mind already formulating plans for more controlled experimentation.
"Perhaps a bit of humor is the best remedy for fiery mishaps," I thought, my inner voice echoing the shared laughter and light-heartedness.
It was at that moment Michael walked up to me and asked if I wanted to learn Alchemy.
"Yes," I answered calmly.
"Well then, we start tomorrow, you have helped in the Lilac farm for a while, so I think it's time I teach you where our main source of income comes from."Michael alleged as he grasped my shoulder leaning over and smiling.
"EH?'
