A Maze

"I still did not understand why they did not come with us?" Anna looked out of the window. Her eyes were settled on the white carriage that was leaving just a few meters away.

"They are going to get married. Maybe they wanted to spend some time together. And Vincent would leave for the Helios first. Oscar had prepared the contracts, but only Vincent could sign it. And it would prove that he was there." Ana shook her head. Someone could catch them red handed if they simply follow. But Garrison was sure no one would follow them.

He had never been so relaxed as far as she remembered. His body was leaning on the cushion rather than sitting straight like a statue. His lips were slightly curled and his face had a soft expression.

She looked away when he raised a brow at her. 

"You should not worry too much, mother. I am sure uncle Vincent did not want to worry you by leaving before us." She nodded and hugged Rowan, making Garry's eyes narrowed.
