Brother and Sister (1)

Under the afternoon sunlight, Adrienne's fair skin and beautiful face turned rather ghastly. She couldn't understand why her grandmother mistook Hunter for her missing elder brother. Something must have happened for Old Madam Zhao to act this rashly.

As if sensing her distress, Old Master Zhao stepped out and looked at her with a complicated expression on his face. His eyes were then drawn to Hunter who was still in his wife's embrace. Adrienne gave him an inquisitive look, but the old man only sighed and gestured for her to follow him inside.

Adrienne had no choice but to enter the estate. It didn't take long before her grandmother and Hunter followed them shortly. She was anxious, but she didn't allow it to appear on her face. She was certain there was a logical explanation to all of it.

As they entered the study where she previously met the Zhao family, Adrienne asked, "Mister Zhao, what's going on?"
