The next morning. Rei woke up as early as usual, despite being a bit concerned about the King's condition the day before, she had a great sleep in the night.
As An Er was helping her to tidy up her attire, Rei remembered what the King told her. Then, she called for Jade.
"Jade, His Majesty told me that he can get someone to escort me if I want to take a walk in the town, and I do indeed feel like taking a brief stroll in the town right now, can you do something about it?" Rei asked, she had totally put down her doubts towards Jade.
"Yes, My Lady. I shall arrange everything for you immediately." Said Jade as she bowed to Rei and left the room…

Later, Rei and An Er have safely left the castle and are currently walking on the street with the escort of Satoshi. Yes, that Satoshi, the personal assistant of the King.
Rei is slightly troubled, she never expected that the King would actually send Satoshi to escort her, especially when she just told him that she doesn't actually trust Satoshi much the day before. Despite that, she kind of appreciated the King's kindness to let his personal assistant escort her.
However, this personal assistant of the King is definitely not a good choice of candidate for a date or anything like that.
"You probably don't want to buy from that candy stall, despite having a bright and colourful look, it actually tastes bad, those colours on it are actually tasteless." That's what Satoshi said when Rei was attracted by a candy stall that sell some colourful candy dolls.
"It might smell nice right now, but it is purely due to some 'special processing' from the seller, as soon as you bought it, it will lose its fragrant within an hour," said Satoshi as Rei shows a slight interest in some sort of perfume balls thingy.
Yes, this sort of over-rational man is certainly not a good choice for a date, Rei is glad that he is just there to escort them.
"This pastry stall, however, sells some really good pastry, I used to sneak some into the castle for His Majesty and he likes it," said Satoshi as he pointed at a pastry stall where fresh pastries had just been displayed out onto their display rack.
Hearing that, Rei feels like she really needs to buy some, for herself and the King. And so, with no hesitation at all, she walked towards that stall.
"Clear the path! Clear the path! A horsecart is passing by." Someone shouted.
However, since it is spoken in that Kingdom's slang with a heavy accent, Rei did not understand a single word of it, thus she remained in the middle of the street as the cart approached while everyone had shifted to the side of the street. Rei only noticed the cart when it was two metres away from her.
Noticing Rei in the final seconds, the coachman stopped the cart just in time, but due to the sudden stopping, the horses that pulled the cart were in shock that they violently kicked their hoofs into the air, one of the horses is so near to Rei that it almost kicked Rei. Seeing this, Satoshi quickly ran towards the horses and calmed the shocked horses down with some fresh carrots from a vegetable stall.
After calming the horses and apologizing to the coachman, Satoshi looked at Rei with a disapproving look.
"Seriously, did you get yourself addicted to the feeling of getting saved by someone?" said Satoshi in a reprimanding tone.
Rei sheepishly shook her head.
After a short thought, Satoshi realised that it might be due to Rei's language barrier, and he sighed.
"Hah… Never mind. But seriously, if you wanted to buy something, you can just let me know and I will buy it for you, it could be quite troublesome for you to do things by yourself, especially when you are having problems communicating with the townspeople." said Satoshi, in a much gentler tone than before.
Then, he walked towards the pastry stall that drew Rei's attention.
"Don't just stand there, come here and tell me what you want, I will pay for you this time," said Satoshi.
Rei did as he said and walked towards the pastry stall…

After buying some pastry, they continued to take a short stroll on the street. While walking, Rei carefully observed that grumpy man who is escorting her and her maid, after some careful observation, Rei noticed that he actually has quite a good-looking face, just that it became quite plain when compared with the King's and Dr Ben's looks.
"What are you looking at? Are you interested in anything else?" Satoshi asked, he wasn't aware that Rei is looking at him.
Then, he looked towards the direction where Rei was staring and saw a jewellery stall that sell some beautiful butterfly hairpins.
"You are interested in that hairpin?" He asked, totally oblivious to what Rei is actually looking at.
Rei shook her head but at the same time have no guts to tell Satoshi that she is actually staring at him.
"Hah… As I said, you can just tell me if anything drew your interest. Come, I will buy one for you." said Satoshi as he suddenly grabbed Rei's hand and led her to the jewellery stall.
Seeing this, An Er is both surprised and excited…
After Rei got her hand on that butterfly hairpin Satoshi just bought her, she stared at the hairpin blankly, she totally have no idea how things turned this way.
Suddenly…
"Don't you actually want to learn our language here?" Satoshi asked, out of the blue.
"Heh?"
"I could teach you if you want to." He added.
"Ah…"

Rei and An Er returned to the castle in near evening.
Rei stared at the pastry and the hairpin Satoshi bought her, she still can't believe that she agreed with his suggestion for letting him teach her the language of this kingdom. While getting slightly troubled by all the unexpected events this morning, Rei suddenly remembered that Satoshi actually told her that the King liked the pastry of that pastry stall. Looking at the time, she assumed that the King had probably done with his meeting, and so she decided to pay him a visit…
Hmm... I wonder if anyone still remembers that sarcastically polite tone of Satoshi in Chapter 5...
