Three days later, Hade was sitting behind the desk inside his room. Before him was Quinn's VCD- a sleek, black rectangular prism encoded with layers of cutting-edge technology.
Staring thoughtfully at the device, Hade grimaced, extended his hand, lingered for a few moments, then sighed.
Finally, he pressed the call button before a holographic screen, one much smaller than the one shown in the training ground a few days ago, popped up in front of him.
The screen buffered for a few seconds before finally, it was replaced by a high-definition image portraying two figures, a man and a woman, both blessed with striking good looks.
"Hade, how lovely to hear from you," the woman spoke first, the sound of her voice as melodious as a chorus of songbirds at dawn.
"Hey mom, hey dad," Hade flashed a sincere broad smile.
