As was tradition, the incoming King and Queen took the first dance. Or in this case, the first two dances, as Cassie traded off with Ella after a few minutes of twirling around the dance floor.

Cassie had gone for a traditional Noxus Family dance from the memory crystal, but Ella went for one from the Fae Realms, a more ethereal dance that helped set the mood in a more playful and less formal direction, as the Faeries did their very best to resist joining in.

That was the final breaking point for the party. Once Wolfe and Ella separated, and he moved to take Priya as his next dance, the Faeries descended from the rafters and began to dance around in the air over the floor, spreading sparkling dust everywhere, and giving the dance floor a magical glow in the most literal sense.

Then the braver of the young men invited dance partners to the floor, and some of the older Nobles who had brought a spouse instead of a child for the dating event joined them.
