Ella's smile turned to a smirk as she began to speak. "I bet you're wondering why the contraceptive spell didn't work."

Wolfe nodded. "Not that I'm not incredibly happy, but it was unexpected."

Ella nodded and continued. "The spell prevents pregnancy by flooding the sperm with mana, which overwhelms the egg and prevents fertilization. But do you know what a high-ranking Witch's body can handle a lot of?

So, the spell most likely stopped working ages ago, and we didn't do any research on it until we advanced this morning and had a good reason to."

Cassie giggled. "So basically, we've been playing the raw dog roulette for months, and a week ago we got the prize. Both of us did on the same day, we can tell that much as Witch Saints."
