Once the party was over, and everyone was headed home, the witches had one last task for the evening. That was to set up Duke Roth and his consorts, who had gathered for the party, with the potions that they would need to ensure that the young Duchess to be did not have to be forced into marriage just to obtain an heir.

She had managed to avoid giving out her Family name all night, which was easy enough, as nobody recognized her, and therefore assumed that she was just a friendly visiting Noble. For the younger children of the other Families, that meant that a few would consider looking into her background for personal reasons, but most of them would just try to remember her first name in case they saw her at another function.
