Gently laying her on the ground, I stood back to my full height as I approached the waiting Primzahl. He had a proud glint in his eyes again, his gaze flitting between me and my sister behind me as he snorted.
"Never knew Maira had it in her to pop two kids out into this world," he chuckled. "Though I can see the resemblance, now that I looked at you two properly."
I kept my surprise to myself. So he really thought that we were true-blooded siblings, "We get that a lot."
It was probably in our best interest to keep everyone thinking that we were true-blooded siblings. Not that I liked using Mother's obvious fame to our advantage, but we had to make due. Besides, it was mostly true anyway. Mother had all but adopted Lise, if I recalled correctly, and it would be better for us to lean into it.
