On Monday, Liliana received a phone call from Teacher Qi. The teacher mentioned that she used the two days of the weekend to convince Alfie and his parents about receiving assistance.

At that time, Liliana was still at home. The clock was showing a quarter past nine in the morning. She was having breakfast before getting ready to go to the cafe.

Liliana paused from eating the rice porridge served on the dining table. She put on the call on a loudspeaker as the phone was lying on the table.

Teacher Qi's voice echoed from the end of the line. Joy was imbued in her tone.
